I have an older Ranger, whenever I see a kid or old man fishing with passion from shore, I offer to take them on the boat. It’s nothing fancy, but it is like Wally World to those that have nothing. I was that kid, I am that old man. Grateful for what I have, what the good Lord has blessed me with and always happy to share. Slice of the pie.

Good morning, sir. I just started following you This video my partner and I used as motivation for our first high school fishing team tournament. We fish under THSBA. Our team's senior boat finished 1st out of 174 boats. My partner and I finished 11th. It was each of ours first ever bass tournament and this video echoed with us all day out on Lake Fork (10/01/22). I just wanted to say thank you for reinforcing and reminding us that fishing is more than just fishing. Fish on!

You sir are a product of what America is and was founded on. Greatness and the ability to overcome any situation. You’re a role model and def learn a lot but this video def hit home. Sir, I am a Marine combat veteran and also a fisherman. Every time I go out to fish, wether it’s a little canal or out on Lake Okeechobee, I always fish like that older man and that young boy. Because at the end of the day we all know it wouldn’t be that much fun if we always got something on every cast or something never got off. That’s what makes this sport so enjoyable. Thank you again sir and god bless. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

That lesson is just one thing I LOVE about God. God sends us His spirit (The Holy Spirit) ALL DAY, EVERYDAY to teach us a valuable lesson. We are the ones who don't listen (whether by choice or accident) nor take the time to acknowledge Him and honor Him. As a born again believer and DEVOTED man of God, I too fail to listen to Him as well. As the Men's director at my church, The Holy Spirit is always showing me things and teaching me things that I can use in devotionals, but I get so wrapped up in this busy world that I can 1,000,000% say I either miss His teaching or simply ignore it. GMan I would like to encourage you to really press in and see the WHOLE message God is trying to show you. I would agree with others comments about you taking that young man out for a day out on the water. I say that because God may have given that young man a deeper message for you, or God may use you as a message for that young man. This is the reason I'm encouraging you to press in to God. Thank you for sharing this video and your heart

Can’t stop watching this video G. I’m 48 with a Bass Tracker 175 and seeing all these nice bass boats with 250 Mercs and Yamahas at the boat ramp and pass by my 17 year son and I while on the lake. I or we most of the time talk about how we wish we had and want one of those boats. I’m now just appreciative of what I do have. When it’s dark and I’m in the drivers seat saying I’m ready to go and my 17 yr old son is still on the bow casting, I realize and remember now why he’s casting, “thinking that next cast is the cast.” Next time on the lake I think I’ll just enjoy being able just to have a boat and fish and when it’s dark, I’m getting eat up by these Bama skeeters and I’m ready to go, maybe I’ll get back up on the deck and cast a few more times because that’s why I started fishing when I was young too. It’s the hope, heart, and determination that fishing brings out in us. Thank you for posting this G-Man.

G, I can still my 10 year old self walking the banks at Hickory Creek here on Beaver. Casting a Hubbs Chub top water at every bush and stick up within casting distance. Then switching to a Fliptail worm and hitting the same bushes. Mom would drop me off about anytime I asked, and then come pick me at dark; she always had to wait for my "one more cast". Most days I wouldn't have a bite, but the anticipation of the next blow up on the Chubs or the tap, tap on the Fliptail, kept me going; fifty years ago. I don't have that same passion, but my grandson does, and my youngest son, now 8 year old, is getting there. You're right, keep the Passion. Passion for God, spouse, kids, life, work and hobbies. Passion, Hope & Love will carry you through a lot of adversity. Now I need to go wash my face, someone has been cutting onions around here,,,,
