As a reader raising a reader (2.5 year old boy) I can tell you the best thing I did was start reading from day 3 😆 we read books to him every day and placed books around him to look at when on his tummy. He started crawling at around 5 months and the first thing he ever sought out was a book which he would hand me to read. He still reads more often than not in his play time and we go to the library weekly where he picks out books he's interested in. Reading as a regular part of your day, and his will make it really natural. Attending the library kids programs is great too. We started attending story reading hour when he was sitting on his own and he would sit and listen and it was really a great foundation for him to develop his enjoyment of reading from an early age. Also bonus is his vocabulary and sentences are incredible which I assume is from all the reading he listens to and then repeats/uses on his own.

Your joints loosen up in preparation for baby and it can really effect your pelvis. Totally recommend pelvic floor pt before and after- game changer and it’s often covered by insurance depending on the provider. No peeing with sneezing here afterwards and they prep so well for labor (even stretching to prevent/minimize tearing). Get an si belt off of Amazon or a belly band can be prescribed by your doctor and covered by insurance

I was so sick all the way through my pregnancy. My work is somewhat physical, so I was moving but I couldn’t work out like I planned. I also gained a lot of weight because I needed to have a lot of carbs so I didn’t throw up. I had a difficult labour and my mother said to me “you know, if you had been healthier, your birth would have gone better.” I believed that up until very recently. Pregnancy and birth is so out of your control. Please be kind to yourself and remember that you are not able to control everything.

My preference was an unmedicated water birth and thats what i was able to achieve thankfully. It did really help that i dilated really quickly for a first time mum - approx 6 hours from 1cm-10cm (midwives thought i was being dramatic when i was begging them to check me and then they were like oh wow youre at 9.5cm lets get the pool ready) lol. 😅. If id had a long labour i probably would have had to get the epidural as more than anything labour and contractions are EXHAUSTING and if they start at night like mine did then you skip an entire nights sleep and lose so much energy. I just about had the energy left to push him out but had it gone on longer i would have been too tired i reckon so would have needed some kind of assistance. Wishing you the best of luck for your birth!! 🎉🎉

With my first, I didn’t go into labor with any plan other than get an epidural as soon as I wanted it. No regrets. I took a labor/birth class so I knew a lot of what was going to go on (I was induced). It all worked out the way I had read it was going to so it was very textbook, I got the epidural when I needed it, and I had a very easy, amazing birth. With my second, my epidural didn’t work and actually ended up having to be completely turned off so I labored and birthed my second naturally. What I learned is that I definitely really never want to have a baby naturally ever ever ever again. It was awful😂

We all have photos in our family photo albums that are photos of us when we were in our baby/toddler years that we see later in life that make us feel uncomfortable. There are some baby photos of me in a bathtub or on a blanket and while I'm sure my parents thought that was cute and all, those are photos that would never be shared online because obviously it would be so embarrassing. I feel lucky not to have been growing up when social media was a brand new thing. I don't think I could handle so much stuff that gets posted online these days. Also, there were lots of bullies in elementary school and I couldn't imagine not getting a break from bullies when I got home. At least when I went on the computer on the weekends, I was able to play games like Links Golf, Myst, Lemmings, Flight Simulator and Magic School Bus Explores The Human Body. Being at home was a nice break from the bullies and I actually dreaded going to school. I remember when Sunday evening was coming at an end, I would look to the beginning of Monday as some impending doom.

I was born with reflux I almost had to have surgery as a baby it was so severe all I did as a baby was scream in pain... Best thing you can do is sleep elevated laying flat makes all that stomach acid come up which makes it tougher during the day they actually make like wedge shaped pillows to help with this, something Id definitely recommend! Pepto is a life saver and tums are safe during pregnancy (of course asknyr doctor first but they do help!) Btw I'm glad you're at peace with everything in life, you're going to be a great mommy and your little boy is very lucky to have you and after such a rough first trimester you DESERVE to be at peace! Also I think showing him little by little is okay, obviously you're going to be excited and want to share him, especially so it's not so taboo that people go crazy, I just don't think making him the center of your content is needed so I respect that you don't plan on making this a family channel I just don't like the idea of people becoming obsessed with a strangers child where they feel entitled to see him. But I trust your judgement I know you're gonna do what's right for you and your family.💙

We have had 5 boys and 1 girl, ending with twin boys. You can not plan birth. Every single one of my births was very different. My first two I had no epidural with very long births. My 3rd with an epidural was so much better and my favorite birth. Our 4th had complications 24 hrs into labor, resulting in a needed emergency c-section. The best birth plan is knowing you can't plan childbirth. Film your labor & delivery experience, at least to have for you, even if you don't feel comfortable ever posting any of it online.

I absolutely LOVE your sit down videos i wish you could do more! Also side note- pack your bag early! my son was a month early. My husband and i went to target to get all my stuff ( i wanted for the hospital a new pillow and pillow case, blanket, pajamas, very oversized underwear lol, pads, dry shampoo etc. ) The next day at the doctors my blood pressure was so high they sent me to get monitored at the hospital. Brought the bag for me and baby. Had a C-section that night because he flipped 3 times in 1 day, so it would have most likely ended in an emergency c section anyway. He was born at exactly midnight and 11 seconds. The whole er cheered bc they haven't had a midnight baby in a long time.

I had acid reflux when I was pregnant. They had to prescribe me pepcid to take along with over the counter medicine because I could not sleep or eat certain things. Definitely feel your pain there. Going into the birth, I did not make much of a birth plan because I get anxious when plans don't go like I want them to lol It was a good thing too because I ended up having to have a c-section. I never actually went into labor. Had to be induced. Dialated. Undialated. And...yeah, it was an experience. My husband (also a Zack) was AMAZING through the whole process, and I could not have gotten through it as well as I did without him! One thing that I will say is, if it comes to a c-section, advocate to hold your baby once it is done and you are able to. Have fun with it. Third trimester is a whirlwind. I did not find it as "nasuseating" as first, but it was definitely more exhausting! Take lots of nap. Pelvic floor exercises and an exercise ball really helped with some of the pain I was having. Just enjoy the sweet little kicks and movements before your little one enters the world! :) You and Zac are going to be great parents, and I am excited to see y'all on that journey! 🩵

Clancy you are so beyond beautiful inside and out. You have twice the glow now that you’re expecting. Im happy that you said you’re doing your research on all the aspects of giving birth. I have an 18 year old and an 8 year old. No birth plan with my first and labor was fast and easy compared to my second. Ten years later when I finally conceived my daughter… I planned everything! I just assumed it would go as planned because of how easy my first labor was. However, that wasn’t the case. I had an emergency cesarean section due to hemorrhaging. With birth… it’s so smart that you’re educating yourself on all the possibilities. I will say though… healing from the c section was way easier than I thought. You are going to be such an amazing mother!!!! I’m super happy for you and your family! This is the best thing that will ever happen to y’all. 🤗

Look into family vloggers and the danger of having kids online. I follow one person that has a kid and they don’t show the face but for photos they are able to get beautiful pictures for social media. My sister went in with no plan because but meds because you don’t know what will happen. Her husband and his wife had this very strict birth plan not meds vaginal and she had to have an emergency c-section and it took way to long for the doctor to convince her for a c-section and we are a small town so not a lot of help if she waited. That confirmed my sisters no plan plan

I have 3 sons. I never imagined I would only have 1 gender of children but the bond my boys have is sooo awesome to witness and I know they will have someone on their side through life ❤️

Your body, your birth plan! Don’t let anyone guilt you in what you want! I got the epidural at 2cm. I had back labor which is soooooo painful. I was induced at 40.5 weeks. After 3 days of labor, ended up with a C-section! Don’t plan too much cause it can go out the window fast lol!

My husband and I were the only ones in the delivery room besides medical staff and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. You are very exposed in that moment. I think it is also a special moment for the parents to enjoy, just on their own without an audience.

Don’t feel bad talking about being excited and not nervous! Yes everything changes but going in looking at the positives isn’t “ignorant”. You know it’ll be hard but being a parent is wonderful and you will be fine!

I definitely would very much encourage your children to read even if they don’t like it 😊

Values and doing it by example. Do what you are comfortable and guidance. We change, even when we don't see right away especially if you see someone everyday.

I had my baby back in November and i wanted to do an un medicated birth but I ended up taking the epidural, and it was the best decision I made. My labor also ended in an emergency c section
