@@LetsDanceSailing Yes our Leopard 45 is in Rhodes and we will be crossing to Turkey for the rest of the summer but I am currently doing Cape Town to Florida helping a friend delivering his new Leopard 50. Left ST Helena a few days ago and ETA Florida about mid July... I presume you must I=be across in the Caribbean by now?

Great to see you guys again. Love the music! What did you use to clean the prop?
@LetsDanceSailing

Paint scraper to get the heavy stuff off and then steel wool to get the shine back. Nowadays i do them every two weeks and it only takes me 15mins to get the light film off them, cheers.

Did you ever try cleaning with scuba? Possibly more versatile than hooker? Great vid!

Would definitely be easier to move around with scuba but we went with the Hookah for compact storage and easy to get out and use. Thanks for your comment, cheers.

Impressed with your prop cleaning. Can you share your technique? Any special tools used? Was that all manual effort underwater?
@LetsDanceSailing
Жыл бұрын
Thanks Michael, no special technique just all elbow grease. I use the Hookah system (dive system) to allow me to stay underwater for as long as I like and a paint scraper to remove the heavy growth and finish the shine off with steel wool or a kitchen scrub 👍 cheers.

@@SailingKokoro if you do your props ever couple of weeks you’ll get them done in 15mins, no growth just a thin layer of film, no paint scarper required just the steel wool and it make a huge difference when under motor. Enjoy your new cat, what did you get.
