I can’t believe my eyes my friend.... the journey you have been on to get to this point of struggling to find 27 items in 2 rooms!!!! Wow!!!! Great job at maintaining! I had a thought while you were explaining the Glacier book, photo, and glasses..... that would make a cute shadow box display on the wall or in a new antique matching curio to the one in the living room 😉. 😁. 👍 since that one is full. 😁. You could take us along antiquing to find a mate. 👍. Love your channel Sophia, and great job!

We’ve become “accidental” minimalists because we lost a ton of stuff to mold. It sucked to lose so much, but then we’ve actually found it a great relief. But it’s funny how I can still always find more to get rid of! I love how much different things are for you after you did that 30 bags in 30 days!!

Saw an idea today in another video where they used peg board to hide their pipes in their basement laundry room and it made me think of you. They painted it and were able to hang shelves on it etc. ...just a thought you could consider for your laundry redo. Can't wait to see your Christmas decorations videos this year. I look forward to them every year!

Ah, 'Pen Genie' traverses the Atlantic and resides chez vous as much as chez nous! So glad your mum's coming for Christmas. Try using and enjoying your crystal, porcelain and silver as much as poss. We have always used ours regularly (at least once per week) for many many years with minimal breakage (a couple of glasses). Dressing the table creates such a lovely ambience that everyone appreciates - children included. There's always something we can declutter, so great job Sophia. Hugs from London.

I really enjoy watching your decluttering videos. I have a question about what looks like a tea set at the time 14:31 on your video, on the left hand side of your cupboard. What can you tell me about it? What are the markings on the bottom and where did you get it? Linda
@mygreatchallenge
7 жыл бұрын
Linda Fabiano it s Nipon. The marking is in Japanese the old mark for noritake. With Nipon when only Japanese it s before 1905 From 1905 to 1946 it s labeled japan. Then occupied Japan until 1955, after that made in Japan. This one is from a 1900s catalog of Japan export when chinoiserie became popular, probably through sears or Bamberger. The porcelaine is very thin. No lithophane . I am missing the teapot.

Those candle jars and lids can be donated. People will buy them (I have re purposed them for many other uses). While I did enjoy the candle scents in the jars I would have rather just purchased the empty candle jars rather than spending so much on the candles in the jars.

Suggestion. I have no problem with you putting an ad in your video. I saw the facebook post and I get it, but I have a recommendation. Ads are annoying when they play while you are mid sentence. At some point could you just so okay before I do the next we are going to pause for the ad real quick, add plays, welcome back, and then move on. I don't know if you control when the ad plays, but if you can that would be better. :) Unrelated, you can tell you've come a long way. 1-2 years ago you would have struggled to open drawers because of so much stuff. Today they were pratically empty. Your doing a great job!
