Awesome video Ed! I felt the same way with that game. I currently have been playing it on the super pocket and enjoying it that way. I also recently bought it digitally on the switch as well.

I contacted Blaze about this issue of slow loading of donut dodo and this is what they said "As for the Dodo performance, we know the issue and it’s down to godot doing a lot of file hash verifications on the resources and is something we will look at patching in the near future!". So fingers crossed they will be able to fix it soon.

If you have an EverSD card it fixes this particular issue with the delay on Donut Dodo.

The switch has local high scores for donut dodo. With Murtop, you have to scan a QR code to submit your high score. This could be a route that EverCade take. Scanning a QR code to submit your high score.

I agree, and a while back, Sean said it would be easy for them to implement. I like the idea of having an Evercade app to use for high scores and profiles.

Yeah, the cart updates seem to be on hold while they iron out kinks they had with the last couple of updates. Hopefully Donut dodo will be patched when they get that sorted.

If it runs fine on the OG and SP then the EXP should be more than capable of resolving this issue , thats gonna bug me now i know about it, will be interesting to see if the R and Alpha experience this issue?

Hopefully, it will be fixed for all devices when the Alpha is out. I'm sure a lot of people will want to play Donut Dodo on it.

EverSD is a third party mod for profit. Niche of the niche. Most of us just really care about Blaze and we know it will eventually fix whenever they can with an official patch.

@@henrygpk @Evercade_Effect "right to repair". I just consider it a repair. Also "fixes" the Namco carts so they work on the VS. Both I think are pretty legit reasons to DIY repair a setup; nothing to do with any nefarious purpose I own over 21 carts.

Delay exists on my EXP. It's wild to hear it doesn't on yours. I've only heard one other person mention it doesn't for them. That person patched it with Super Pocket if I recall correctly. I'm NOT purchasing a Super Pocket nor the OG handheld. This is rotten they won't fix this and yes, it is bother. It's such a bother I refuse to play it on Evercade, on Switch only.

It does have a delay on both my EXP and VS. Only the OG and Super Pocket don't have this issue playing it from the cart. When Donut Dodo was game of the month and played directly from the console we didn't have this issue.
