Quiet, no people The purchasing power of Khmer people is limited. Most villagers go to buy at local markets.

£7 for that little mixer is great, it looked like the handle detached as well, is this considered a budget outlet in Cambodia?

I would take the local street markets, with their small stalls, over this type of charmless, bland supermarkets any day. Plus, shopping in local street stalls helps local families, while shopping in this supermarket helps the millionaires.

That is a good point, and I do the same thing for items that are being sold in the local street stores. But the problem is that its Cambodia and the diversification of trades and items has been decimated, and has recovered only slowly… all stores usually sell the same thing and are limited. If you want utilitarian things or other consumables that are not sold in the streets, you gotta go to this store. Having said that, this store also have limits - so at these times I go to Bangkok for all kinds of shopping with a car.
