Going back and listening to your old music is like jumping into a boss room with no weapons ... just pure devastation

I honestly think this is quite a humbling experience. The fact that you can listen to your older songs, then record a video and show them to your audience, explaining how you did it back then, it just proves to the newer songwriters/producers, that it takes time to build your skill. So don't get discouraged when you somehow can't get it right the first year or two years, because it takes a lot of practice. So be patient and have faith in yourself. This is inspiring, even for a composer like me :) thank you for showing this ^^
Aaaah good to hear you're a Counterstrike and Limewax fan. It would be awesome to see you produce some of that old school darkstep sounds nowadays! :O Really wonder what your take on it would be now.

This is every bit as useful as your sound design tutorials Art. Really good to see your progress. Shows we all make the same mistakes at the beginning.

Even listening to 1 or 2 year old tracks can be pretty eye-opening sometimes

Ive done this 3 days ago, my projects were 2 or 3 years old tho. Some of them were total trash, but a few could be developed into "decent" songs. It was inspiring mostly because I know for sure none of those tracks ever saw the light, I was at least savy enough to not publish any of those.

If you added a 303 to that Blackout track intro you'd get a Ladyscraper EP. Also it kinda sounds like you were manually ducking to fix up the side chain, but it went totally wrong or something? It's up down up down left right left right B A start select.

Can’t find any of my oldest tracks, but this was the oldest one on my soundcloud. Tbf it’s not even that bad, but listening to that last track of yours reminded me of when I first started music production. soundcloud.com/eddmaster/sunset-silhouette-demo-vsn

Here is the first tune I ever released, Released 6 years ago apparently. I'm honestly proud of it still. It's not terrible but it is not good lol. Kind of an emotional hardstyle melodic foresty feel. soundcloud.com/lion_the_ferocious_beats/simple-minded-lion-the

Pls make a Tutorial about Songstructure/Arrangement! Would really help to get unstuck. BTW your GABBA track aint that shit even though it sounds like that. It sounds just like gabba has to sound imo

you would only shorten the intro because people are impatient not because it is bad...so you should just leave it... people cant be patient that is their loss

They're great. No need to cringe. They're just not as polished as your new stuff.
