Hi Foo, I hope you read this. I got into competitive pokemon last generation after focusing on breeding in the previous games. I am old enough to remember playing through my blue version when it came out and tried introducing it to my daughter when she was old enough to start reading. I was the one who became interested, instead. I say all of this to offer my assistance if you ever need it. I participated in many sw/sh online tournaments, improving every time. I do expect to consistently rank in or around the top 1000 this generation on the doubles ladder. However, I tend to use unconventional teams ( last generation I started chandelure/shiinotic way too often) that limit my ceiling. I often watch your videos to get ideas and I'm excited for your takes on this generation. Keep up the great work and keep inspiring people like me to get back into this fantastic game.

Wouldn't it be a better choice to use choice scarf over weakness policy to make up for the speed?

It's definitely an option, but Sneasel would move after Annihilape so you wouldn't get the Beat Up off before Rage Fist. Choice Scarf Annihilape is good but generally doesn't run Rage Fist. Most are max HP with Final Gambit

The power of rage fist increase with each hit annihilape recives but this doesnt take in account movements that stack, which are count like 1 hit

since the competitive season started, i found that population bomb, taunt, follow me and encore maushold with a tera steel annhilape works really well, population bomb doesnt do too much damage but with loaded dice it will always hit at least 4 times (unless it misses 1st turn) and give annhilape leftovers and drain punch and it becomes hard to kill, pair that with a tailwind murkrow and it works quite well, im using that rn

I've personally been doing this with Forretress' Pin Missile in Raids; Forretress is probably the best of the multi-hitters in terms of survivability, and it gets some crucial additional support in the form of Helping Hand and Screens. Additionally Pin Missile is quad resisted by Ghost/Fighting.

I use Drain Punch as Annihilape’s Fighting STAB move to counteract the downside of this strategy.

Foo I'm new to the channel and was directed here by pokésports! How are you doing! Your Skill Swap Contrary Malamar/Hydrapple team seems really fun.. what do you think about the annihilape team in regulation f? Thank you for your time. 😊

I think annihilate is still a great Pokémon! Now you need to be prepared for expanding force teams which weren't so common when this team was made, so having rillaboom to change terrain or something with wide guard could help. Also, whimsicott is an alternative beat up user now which also has Tailwind which you could swap in for maushold, but friend guard and follow me on maushold are still valuable.

Give this thing a party switch move, and a scope lense/leftovers and you have a crazy retaliater My pick for its moves would be Rage fist Stomping tantrum Assurance or retaliate Drain punch

I think people thought it capped at 300 because that’s how much it gains and it just got confused somewhere along the line because the info has gone from person to person so much.

Maushold has friend guard, so beat up could leave the ape with extra breathing room.

To be honest, I still like to partner Maushold with Annihilape. I'm not doing the Beat Up strat usually, but the combo is well-known enough to apparently get people to react differently at first. Plus, Friendguard and Follow Me do allow for a bit more controlled damage stacking on Annihilape. Mine often got to a close to max Rage Fist on split and chip damage alone, which can be good enough depending on the matchup. Drain Punch + Bulk Up round out the set, but sometimes I also like to run Taunt or Encore.

Population Bomb on Primeape with Rage Fist and Anger Point: hit 10 times and get at least 1 crit, and now you’ve got a 4x attack Primeape with a max BP rage fist in 1 turn.

Let's not forget how much of a buff it is to Primeape himself. Considering that getting hit makes is what triggers it, what about Eviolite Primeape? That's way you don't give up the amazing speed. Can take some hits if you aren't running with this strategy. Isn't weak to beat up. Rage Fist counter doesn't reset on switches either so it's a great U-Turn pivot and even has Acrobatics to punish Knock Off plays who can afford to switch into a fighting type.

The problem with sneasel compared to maushold is that it doesn’t get follow me OR friend guard. Annihilape gets rekt by any sweeper so I recommend building careful 252 Spd 20 speed and the rest HP to help with survivability. Run a chest berry for a moveset of rage fist, drain punch, rest and bulk up. Then just have the maushold do regular beat up and terastialize ghost for max rage fist
@NoLeva12

To clarify the thing that beats this whole strategy is follow me / rage powder so wear safety goggles to atleast help with it. Also taunt is a MUST for this strategy pimpnite isn’t a fool and used it on his sneasel and you should use it on your maushold if you decide to go that route. I love Annihilape and swag strategies like this ❤.

+2 252 Atk Annihilape Rage Fist vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Multiscale Dragonite: 146-172 (73.7 - 86.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO So it might ohko dragonite through multi scale if it’s not running max defense with a + nature and max hp

I beat the elite for by using bulk up and constantly healing annihilape so that rage fist did crazy damage, also dropped a couple Spc. def X so that it wouldn’t get knocked out

The move tells you that it maxes out at 300. 5 hits gets you there, confusion hits count.
