A good overview of the rules and a clear demonstration of a first turn! I have the game now and will be playing it soon. I came searching for a video and found this one.

I think you did everything correct. I've watched others that miss things and get rules wrong. I saw nothing wrong here. Excellent job of explaining this game.

That's good news Johnny! Honestly, I expect to make *some* mistakes, and maybe there are still a few lurking in this video. But as always, I do my best to limit mistakes, and anything people find I appreciate being pointed out so others who watch the video in the future can be aware of.

This looks very cool, and is right up my alley. I try to check out every game I can that covers the Great Patriotic War, and I love a good solo game. Thanks for the video, you have gained a fan

Playthrough was a great depiction of how the game works. I really enjoy this one. Would be interested to hear your review if you do one. Mike Rinella mentioned on BGG that there will be more games coming in this series and the next one already in development will cover Manila 1945 with U.S. as attacker and Japan as the defender. So more good games like this one to look forward to.

My review will be going up in a day or two. I am looking forward to seeing what else Rinella does with the system and how he improves it.

The Manila game just went to the printers. It will be released in early 2024 along with a reprint of Stalingrad which went out of stock in October 2023 after barely nine months.

A nice solo wargame and it becomes nicer with your video. For reminding the Attack Total of both sides, you can also use two dedicated counters and the morale track.

Thank you Remi, and also that's an excellent idea to use the morale track!

I appreciate that Michael. It was a lot of fun talking with the boys, and they humored my tendency to go on rants... or so it feels sometimes!

Thanks Wayne, this was helpful. Interesting that the control markers/track are superfluous. Are you sure there is never a need to mark them? Seems odd they would be included at all.

Because they look cool and you get the tactile enjoyment of putting the control marker into the hard-won area.

@@michaelrinella6384I've now played the game and I can see why they are included. Although not really necessary, they provide a nice visual aid of what areas are controlled by who when scanning the board. I would not want to play without them, at this point (but could just as easily use a penny if they were not included).
