There's actually a slow-motion tactical mode for when combat gets chaotic (which the game doesn't tell you about, and isn't key-bound by default) I hot-keyed it to Tab in the options menu and toggling it on when needing to reposition or hit enemies precisely made the game soooo much easier.

Johnny: "They love their weird sayings--'Beneath snakes' 'Here in the West' etc. Such nonsense in this game!" Also Johnny, in real life: "We ain't 'ere to f#ck spiders"

All the "* Big Gasp* NooOOOOO!" moments were priceless. Johnny: *Town on fire.* "Whoops." Narrator: It was indeed, whoops.

"Oh no, he's into it." This was very funny, and this game frankly looks amazing. It's very much up my alley. I like games where you can go into a town and just fuck shit up.

Everytime I'm mildly active in chat I have to come back to re-watch what actually happened. ...no, there's not really a downside to this. It's the best parts of watching live and being part of the VOD Squad.

Missed this due to work. Which is sad, as I have been thinking of getting this game myself. At least I get to see what it is all about on the re-play. =)

Heya Johnny, would you consider playing Kaycee's Mod for a stream? Your mention of the Inscryption sound effects reminded me. I've almost finished it but it's bloody hard by the end, could be a fun one.

One of my favorite games from the ps2 era has the main character interact through kicking. You search boxes by kicking and start fights with neutral or friendly npcs by kicking. This sounds right up my alley :)

The discussion about Deadlands and other TTRPGs you could play weird west games, reminded me that there's a Blades in the Dark hack, called A Fistful of Darkness, that I've been meaning to try out.

I didn't see Johnny use the blacksmith which is fine. I always prefer smelting the bars into nuggets to upgrade my weapons instead of buying the better version of it from the gun shop. Call me weird, but that's how I spent a good amount of this game. Giving Jane the best equipment to only find out... Well, that's a spoiler. But it is a fun game to play. Also, there are other ways to do objectives, like getting the info from Mayor Weeks: You can either steal the info from his safe on the upper floor or freeing the guy in the cellar. Both requires you to get into his bedroom and you can snatch a Golden Ace from there.

All this talk about Deadlands, let me add my two cents: _Deadlands Classic_ is far more evocative of the setting and feel than its Savage System redesign. It does run a bit more slowly though (as a true spaghetti western kind of should, IMO), so if you struggle with a short attention span you might get a little frustrated with it. Especially if your posse only starts thinking about what they should do when it's their turn, and not doing it while other turns are still being resolved. Despite that, it's still my favorite system out of all couple dozen or so systems I've played/GM'd on.
