Thought leaders and authors Amy Chan and Dené Logan challenge old beliefs - such as “happily ever after” and “belonging” to a partner - that ultimately prevent us from advancing and transforming. Leaning into science, psychology, and spirituality, Amy and Dené share their thoughts on how the death of a relationship can lead to discovery and fulfillment.
Following their discussion, we invite you to join small peer-led breakout room sessions guided by the following prompts:
If you have experienced pain and struggle in relationships, can you identify any new pathways or insights for yourself?
Is there an action - even a small, sweet step - that you want to take to navigate grief or heartache?
Amy Chan hit rock bottom when she discovered that her boyfriend cheated on her. Although she was angry and broken-hearted, Amy soon came to realize that the breakup was the shakeup she needed to redirect her life. Instead of descending into darkness, she used the pain of the breakup as a bridge to self-actualization.
Amy is the Founder of Renew Breakup Bootcamp, a retreat that takes a scientific and spiritual approach to heal the heart. The Observer calls her "A relationship expert whose work is like that of a scientific Carrie Bradshaw'' and her company has been featured across national media including Good Morning America, Vogue, Glamour, Nightline, The Times, CNN, Fortune and more. Her New York Times featured book, Breakup Bootcamp - The Science of Rewiring Your Heart, published by Harper Collins, was an instant best-seller and she recently launched The Breakup Bootcamp podcast.
