@scottwrathfon9872
Ай бұрын
@@gutsymovies He could have ordered it, but he'd need heavy leverage to even have a chance. Israel would almost definitely ignored the order because they have no laws or reasons to do so. The point of the leadership right now is cruelty and hurting the Palestinians, and they likely would have just had a slightly slower campaign even if we halted all aid. I understand the reasons for maintaining ties with Israel, from keeping a major power as an ally in the region to making sure they win a large amount of the Jewish vote that is likely necessary to have a chance at stopping a Trump presidency that will almost definitely lead to a completely unrestrained attack on Gaza, and provably a large increase on the crimes in the West Bank. In the beginning, I was more understanding of trying to stop a large regional war that would result in many more casualties, worldwide turmoil, and other problems that could have made things much worse. But I feel the aid should have been mostly defensive with the only offensive aid conditional of realignment with attacks there were extremely precise and limited unnecessary deaths as much as possible. But the current assault was too popular after 8/7 when revenge was reactionary. But Netanyahu's camp also wants to satisfy the initial bloodlust of Israelis, gain more control over Gaza, and make sure that the damage done results in a resurgence of another war and reason to keep hostilities.

I haven't seen a description on any of Beau's videos today in this channel. Also, I can't fight the sinking feeling that this is much too little, much too late, and Beau's delivery (especially the closing line) make me wonder if he shares that nagging feeling.
