I have never commented before but I have been following and making art with you for over 9months now. I found you while healing from a severe car accident that impacted all 6 of my family (4 kids, 2 adults). We are so much better these days. Your art, genuine connection, real truth and method of teaching and teaching us how to let go and just make things with whatever we have has been HEALING!! I buy every digital kit you recommend...(Yes, all of them 😂). You voice calms me... I listen when making art and I relax head to toe. I really felt your spirit following the loss of your mom and I almost reached out then... you are a GIFT to the art community. Oh! I also LOVE your new Sunday series!!! ❤️ I just love you and the way you show up and teach us how to just make things and create beauty, no matter what we are working thru! Thank you!!

Auto accidents can be so terrifying. Many years ago, our dad was in a serious accident, and in the hospital for 6 weeks. So glad you and your family are healing, and much better. I hope that your family can also find calm with these videos, or whatever intrigues them. Art is so healing. I also love that Margreth and Natasa of Treasure Books use everyday materials to make such pretty treasures.

Thank you and thank you again, I became a widow last year after sharing a life with my husband for 61 yrs. My income changed drastically and I have lots and lots of junk but most of the crafters I have seen used such pricey items that I nearly lost interest. I now feel renewed. I have made my great grandchildren each a small journal from Christmas cards and added bits of items that were their grandpas. They loved them and it was junk! Thank you from those of us that cannot afford the fancy looking journals.

I totally get it! I was all "no digitals!" Until I found sooooo many artists making INCREDIBLE digitals and I love supporting artists! I use the junk stuff as bases.... so I print on copy paper and just glue to the "trash" bases. So I'm still junk journaling but using beautiful papers. Hybrid! 😊

I love saving and making with "junk"! I have a self imposed rule... if it's not used within 3mo, I have to dispose. I use digitals, but my bases are almost always "junk"!! It makes me so happy to make it beautiful and gifted to others! 😊

I am going to have to set that kind of limit on the "stuff" I keep for journal making too. I am 84 and, realistically, how many journals am I going to make in the time I have remaining! I must quit saving every cereal box and frozen food carton that I think will make a good base for a journal!

Just went to the grocery store and asked the vegie guy about the banana box papers. He smiled and said ," oh, bet youre a crafter! Then said look under the banana display, if there are any empty boxes under there, help yourself to the paper". So i came home with banana paper and some similar paper that was a potatoe bag he had ripped open. But i heeded your warning and only took one of each!
