Perfumes can last for decades. As long as it doesn't smell off, you can keep it. Change in color doesn't mean it's necessarily bad either. Perfumes with certain notes like vanilla, tonka etc. tend to get deeper in color and better in smell with time. Ideally you should store your perfumes in a dark and cooler place, without direct sunlight and without changing temperatures and no humidity (e.g. not in the bathroom or on display for decoration). Hope this helps. :)

I am so glad that you commented this because now I don’t have to write out a whole thing. But yes. I have several perfumes now that are more than 10 years old. All of my older vanilla based ones are very dark and amazing. I store them all in my dark, cool closet and have only ever had one go bad and it was one that I bought second hand from someone else so I have no idea of how it was stored in its previous life! Perfumes can last so, so long!

I don't think you need to be worried about old perfumes. I still use my Opium from 1977 no problem 😂 Great video as always - using things up feels so good and almost like an act of rebellion nowadays. My favourite is using up a Bic cristal pen 🙈

Love this! I started studying again last year and money has been super tight so I stopped buying skincare and makeup out of necessity, but I am really enjoying rediscovering what I have already! I have become slightly obsessive about using things up and seeing my stockpile go down. I feel like it has helped to shift my mindset and now I don't feel the pull to purchase more until an essential has completely run out. Finally! ❤️

I've made a declaration that I won't buy any products unless I've completely run out and truly need it. Few products actually fit that brief. It's really become more fun to use up than to buy. I literally cheered the other day when I realized an eyeshadow stick won't click up anymore! 😊

When you brew your tea, especially green tea, the temperature of the water is the most important. I had a green tea I could not stand, it turned out my water was too hot and the tea was delicious!

I just finished up one thing out of many, but I can't seem to break the habit of buying new skin care. Your last video made me think about all the makeup I have, which I no longer wear (at all!), so I decided to give it away and just keep what I think I can finish. Feels great to do so, but I really just want to quit impulsive shopping. 🤦🏽♀️

I love the feeling of using something to completion. Perfumes I have tired of are now used for drawer freshener, facial moisturizers that proved to be less than ideal are body moisturizers, lipsticks are layered to make new shades, a bronzer that didn’t match my skin shade is great to use on my legs to give them a tanned look, you get the picture.I learned my lesson on many products, will be much more discerning.

I love this…I have been trying to use up my lotion collection. I feel like there can be days that go by in which I do not really use lotions daily or only on my arms and legs…so I have been really focusing on using at least at night lotion on my whole body and taking the time to pamper myself. Parfum I do not buy new one unless I finished one I have. And I will only display ones that are almost finished the other one or two I keed in the closet/cabinet.

I had a favourite perfume and by the time I ran out the label was totally scratched off so now I can't replace it because I have no idea what it was. The same thing happened with this tea that a friend gave me, it smells amazing and I love it but I have no idea what it is and I really want to be able to get more before i finish it. I held off on using these things up because of this lol.

Daisy my #1 favorite since it first came out. Smells like an old summer fragrance 8 used to love in my youth, Straw Hat by faberge. Finished 3 things in the past week. So satisfying to toss empty jars instead of decluttering partially used products. Found an old bottle of Outspoken (an Avon collab with Fergie from years ago). It’s been in my linen closet in the dark and it is in a black bottle so it smelled great. Forgot how much I like it.

I love tea and never thought I liked green tea because it usually tasted too bitter and strong, UNTIL I learned how to properly brew it. Water should not be fresh off the boil, use only a measured teaspoon per cup, and brew for only 2-3 minutes. It tastes really good when brewed correctly. Currently I'm trying to get through some older teas in my stash, as I must have around 20 different types in my cupboard! Enjoy. 🙂

It's my favourite everyday scent because it's fairly light and has a fresh scent. They do offer a roller ball so if you did decide you wanted to buy it you can try it in the smaller format. Also, some sephora's may stock this in person, one of mine had a glossier display. It could be worth checking it out if that's an option!
