Quite a few SMO problems deceivingly ask for the floor of a real number answer that is an integer. Some subterfuge does occur in well designed math problems, but there is a line that should not be crossed in my opinion. Way Tan is also politely critical of redundant/superfluous usage of floor function when the answer already an integer. It is an unnecessary layer of confusion for exam takers and students.
