@Carrie-so3ro

THREE countries - you are forgetting about France (St. Pierre & Miquelon) unless you are only strictly counting land borders - which other countries - certainly island nations don't do - since there are water ownership issues with neighbours (as is the case with Canada too.)
@cmlemmus494
Ай бұрын
@@Carrie-so3ro I'm not disagreeing, but by that logic only the Arctic Ocean separates Canada from Russia. Or Northern Europe for that matter. Land borders is typically what matters internationally, too. Eg, Italy doesn't border Libya.
@Carrie-so3ro
Ай бұрын
@@cmlemmus494 I was thinking of your very point when I put down my answer. The reason that St. Pierre & Miquelon are included as a border state & not Russia or Europe is because we DO have our Internationally recognised water border as well - our (as with other countries) "100 mile limit". Since Russia & Europe do NOT hit against our 100 Mile Limit - but have "other" waters in between as well, they are not on our border - even water border. St. Pierre & Miquelon SHARE a part of our 100 Mile Limit (as does the States) - making ownership of the waters in these areas a bit difficult. That is why France is CERTAINLY on even (IN) our border with them where we "mesh". There is no "neutral" International waters in between like with Russia & Europe.

@13:00 Canada changed the way we ask the religion question as of the last census. Instead of being asking what religion a person is, the question is more like "is religion an important part of your life?". So the percentage today is bigger than what's in this video, but it doesn't represent the same thing. The term used is "IRRELIGIOUS"; a person may not be agnostic or atheist but still not be active in a religion.
@PeBoVision
21 күн бұрын
Gu5 Being Atheist or agnostic would suggest that religion is not an important part of one's life. I label myself (when forced) as a Secular Humanist, and I always answer "no" to that question, because religion ISN'T important to me. It is only important to the person writing the poll, and including the question exaggerates its importance. Claiming Atheism is claiming NOT to have a religion. It does not mean having one called "Atheism". And so, the answer must be "no" to the question. Atheism/Agnoticism are not religions as they are not based on a shared belief system. What one Atheist believes does not relate in any way to what another Atheist might believe. The only thing Atheists have in common is NOT believing in established conjecture. There are no churches or groups to attend, or false-idols to worship.

The Canadian horse is descended from imported horses from EU. US & Mexico horses are descended from Spanish conquistadors horses imported* from Spain about 1519. Many of these horses went wild. Native Americans became skilled horse riders before the US were colonized. We still have wild horses. *The original North American horse went extinct during the ice age 10,000 years ago.

The Canadian unemployment rate is calculated by dividing the number of unemployed people by the number of people in the labour force; whereas, the USA unemployment rate is based on a monthly random survey. Thus the methodology employed by the two countries produces results that cannot be compared. "Pick your poison" is indeed a common expression and basically means, when all available choices are bad, pick the one that will be the least painful. Also, Canada's 14% Other is what makes us the superior country (IMO). We're a tossed salad of cultures rather than the melting pot of the US, so our flavours remain distinct and create something unique from our individual identities. In Canada we welcome you to bring your own "How To Make a Country" recipes !! In the USA just make tacos & burgers and blend in. btw, what are your names ? I just know you as the Habibi Brothers, but I don't know you individual names. Maybe introduce yourselves in a future video. The King is the Head of State, where our military (including spy agencies) and police services are controlled by the head of state. The federal government runs international and domestic affairs. The King can dissolve parliament if he chooses but trys not interfering in political affairs. The government is elected and is beholden to the population but is also loyal to the King. The King is represented by the Governor General at the federal level when the King is not in the Counrty. When the Federal government requests military action they ask the King to deploy the military which will always be approved by the King. That is the simplest explanation I can give.

I can't even remember them all BUT - the Chateau Frontenac is NOT in Montreal, it is in Quebec City Canada DOESN'T just border the United States! Canada has THREE countries that it shares a border with: the US, France (with St. Pierre & Miquelon) & Denmark (where we actually SHARE an island - Hans Island & which we have had a good-natured rivalry over until just 2 yrs. ago when we settled the border. "The Whiskey Wars.") As a Canadian, I can tell you that I have NEVER heard of the horse being one of our national animals. I don't know if he put that down as fact (as some of his other "facts" were faulty or if he was TRYING to make a joke - as our famous Canadian Mounties ride horses - MOSTLY for ceremonies.)
