A reliable iron for a beginner is such a must have. What do I mean? My good iron broke during covid lockdowns and I bought one from kmart so I could get on with sewing the same day. No other stores with irons were even open. It was so terrible. I would turn the temperature down to minimum and it would get hotter than when it was on full temperature. It wouldn't steam with any sort of consistency and left leaks and drops everywhere all the time. It was also tiny. The heat plate was barely larger than a craft iron (slight exaggeration but still). I'm pretty sure it came out of the box horrendously scratched. The cord is sooo entirely short. I've had various irons but currently looking at buying the oliso since before your videos on them but your video definitely confirmed me wanting one! I love the pink ones though, so cute, and I can buy it from the wholesaler instead of retail so it will end up costs me $120aud instead of the $300 they retail for (side note, if anyone has an ABN in Australia, look into getting business accounts wherever possible to save money)

I’m guessing the water tank is as far away as possible from the computer in the middle iron and it does look awkward to fill 🤔

I completely understand your frustration about the ironing board situation, I find mine is in the way when not in use and I cannot leave it up when sewing as it takes up all the space and I cannot get in or out of the room, throw a blind cat into the mix and it is just dangerous! I love the look of the oliso especially the shape of the tip.

I loved this video. We had a simple iron that kept spitting on my fabric when I was pressing it so I went to upgrade. I got a Rowenta and I love it. Seeing that Olliso iron is kinda making me a little jealous because of that big tank! Also the little legs going up and down! My Rowenta has continuous steam option that I love. It didn’t come with the little filler container but I still have one from my Shark steam mop that I use. It really is handy.

Thanks for a lovely video. I have the yellow Oliso. It goes to sleep after 11 minutes. The pink version stays on for 30 minutes, but I find it difficult to remove the water, however I really love it just like you. 😊😊😊
