Big respect to Leupold to let you test their optics, even tho you gave the first one a really bad review. Also for reacting on things you stated. More companies should act like that. Same with Desert Tech and the MDR, would love to see more content about it, was nice to see it at 2 gun with Varusteleka.

It also has the "shake awake" feature, as well as turning off with the cap on. Both features save quite a bit of battery!

I think they said it wouldn't come with sights _OR_ an optic. But they recommended a Trijicon Accupoint 1-4x or Holosun 503C red dot in 2017. . . . . Of course, the Holosun is made in China

CountArtha I’m curious to see what 2020 option they go with. Holosun offers such good value and reliability... and with all the rage of the ACSS reticle, I don’t see how it isn’t one of the best options. Fingers crossed they test and review that specific version.

Good stuff. I've had a couple DPPs on two different pistols for use in IPSC for roughly 2 years now, one of them had a failure of the battery contact, which is a known weakspot on the design (certain serial ranges have it bad, early and current serial ranges are much better), how Leupold glue/hold the battery contact in place is not the greatest, but when the issue occurred, Leupold arranged a replacement with no hastle, even here all the way down under in the peoples communist democratic republic of australia.

4k rounds later after mounted on my P320 X5Legion, the silver battery holder inside the battery tray got loose and lost the dot middle of match. Somehow DPP got the contract for US Army. Seriously, I'd much much prefer a holosun over a DPP.

@@GODOFGUITAR2112 Not True! my Delta point fell off first 50 rounds with this method! didn't hold a zero very well either. The click noise broke or cracked my screws. Gunsmith had to drill them out and re-tap it. cost me $75. or I think I must've had a different model plate than yours.

I havent had any issues when I owned mine. Had it mounted offset of a larger 3x9 scope. Ended up replacing it with the rds which got replaced with a mark 4 1.5-5. And hopefully a rumored mark5 lpvo next year. If its one thing leupold does well its light weight scopes

I'd love to see you guys take a look at Sig's offerings. I just got a Romeo5, pretty happy with it so far. Chose it because I heard it's good at surviving the recoil on a 12 ga. But it would be interesting to see it get a more serious InRange test.

I own two dpp, 7.5 triangle and 2.5 dot. Amazing quality optics! I've shot in all day rain conditions, I live in east coast Canada, so very humid conditions. Use cat crap on glass if you have issues. I also bring some qtips to clean it emitter, water has never effected my shooting although it can make the dot burst a bit. The triangle dot seems better in rain and in pistols for me personally.

I live in southern bama, and every fog proof thing I own from $500 Oakley's to $200 vortex prisms will fog after a brief rain in summer. As a certified damn Yankee (it's a thing), I say summer lasts from March to November.
