I downloaded the app onto two different iPhones (an iPhone 10 and iPhone 12 pro max). I set them both up with the same figures and set them on a table at home. The two got very different readings. I rotated each phone and the numbers for each wheel changed by over an inch. I am sure the table did not move. I tried the same experiment on several different tables and desks with the same results. I wanted this app as a backup to my pro level (bluetooth). I can sit in the driver seat and see how level I am with the pro level where with the app I have to set the phone on the floor at the back of the drivers/passengers seats and lean and twist while backing up to see if I am level. I will try this app again when we go out in the Travato again. Keep the tips coming as they are very interesting. BTW the 2018 Travato 59K is our 8th motorhome and the most fun we have had in years. we will be heading to Daytona in April, hope to meet you there. Edited. What I called "pro level" is really "Level mate Pro". please forgive the mistake.

I had to find a level cabinet and calibrate app with my 11. The camera bumps on both can be an issue. If you know that it is level and calibrate it kind of fixes that issue. Never tested as much as you though. As long as it gets it close enough for Lynn I'm good. 😂. Not sure about April yet. Our summer trip this year is Newfoundland so we need all the time we can get for that we think. But we want to come just not sure yet. Thanks for being with us.

I don't have an RV, but this may still be the exact solution I need! What I do have is a drumset, and my band frequently plays outside on uneven grass. So I've been trying to come up with a platform system that is stable, adjustable, and simple. I thought I was gonna have to pick two, but those yellow lego thingies (and that app) may be just what I need! Thank you!

If you have a dual axle travel trailer, which tire hub do you measure to the hitch for the correct axis distance? The front wheel or the rear wheel?
@VANTREKKINGlifestyle

Not 100% sure but I’d say the axle closest to the rear of the RV and measure from the hub of that tire to the hub of the front tire to get the measurement needed for the calculation.

Actually the bubble on a level does tell you how far out of level you are, if you know how to read it. Most are designed to tell you when you are 1/8 or 1/4" per foot off. We normally camp on fairly level ground and usually find Anderson levels quick and easy to get the job done. We carry a few extra pieces of 2x6, for rare occasions when they aren't enough.

Thanks for the info. We downloaded the Truma app. I guess we aren’t that sensitive. It says we are off by 4” at our Anastasia park site, but feels “level” to us. I also think we move around too much. Leveling every time we come and go would definitely try my patience. Would be fun to cross paths sometime. Travato 2020 NPF KL. Ps.... have you ever thought of just leveling Lynn’s bed instead....

Hope we do run into you soon. We leave the blocks down when we go somewhere and just back back over them when we return. Works great for us. But I understand the feels level to me more than you know 😂. If she slept on the passenger side I could maybe level that one. But that would be more trouble than just dropping the LEGO blocks. Never a takes more than a minute to do it. Forgot to add. You need to make sure you use the calibrate feature in a spot where you know it's perfectly level. I have to take my phone case off too. I also use the floor right at the hatch behind the seats. Seems to be the perfect place for all tires.

You have the "who's your daddy" solution. No regrets. Other than a magic button yours is the best solution. Our tip was for those of us who try to make something free work nearly as good as a paid solution. 😂😂

Hi Owen and Lynn, have you ever used scissor jacks? We were just talking about jacks the other day. Do the jacks help take away that bouncing feeling you get from walking in the van? Thanks, Laurie in Tampa Bay

We haven't used them in the van. Don't notice a lot of movement/bounce in it though. We do know the more levelers you have the more stable it is. 4 jacks is good but 6 is awesome. We've had 4 and 6 and 6 is really a lot more stable. Not sure where the right points to use jacks on the van would be either.

A disappointment. Maybe for RV parks level ground, paved roads etc they’re ok. Beyond that they’re a piece of junk when camping. I have a set and they’re a pain carrying then stacking on unlevelled ground, and they sink. To make them useful I screwed mine together and use them strictly as stabilizing blocks. That works. Although big and heavy, wood 2x12’s are still the best under the tires. But I am eyeing and still assessing the Anderson/Beech Lane type levellers. But again not sure about unlevelled ground.

All very true statements. We carry the Andersen levelers with us now. Rarely use them but they always work well for us.

I guess you have to pair it with your RV first?

No just put in the wheelbase and width of you van, find a flat surface in the van and that's all.
