Lewy body dementia is the second most common type of dementia and is characterized by a spectrum of symptoms that sometimes are misdiagnosed as Alzheimer’s or Parkinson's disease. Lewy body dementia is a disease associated with abnormal protein deposits in the brain that affect thinking, movement, behavior, and mood. This program discusses the most common symptoms of Lewy Body dementia, what a proper diagnosis includes, and treatment options for both the individual and the caregiver.
