Reliabilty is a huge factor buying a $100k car! I just traded my Porsche that was 3 years old and already was giving me problems. I bought the yellow LC 500 convertible and love every time I drive it.

F type would break down on you after 50k miles and be a pile of Poop but the Lexus would be able to last 250k with good maintenance. 500% longer durability for the same price? 🙄🙄

Had an F-Type with 11K miles on it. Radio died and it needed a new fuel pump. That plus regular maintenance was going to be over $10K. F-That. Traded for an LC convertible. Best car ever.

I just got the V8 convertible. I had a Bentley Continental GTC before (whose engine blew up!). The LC500 is a BLAST, transports you to a different time. Best car ive ever owned.

Of course, this car was not designed for great acceleration like the Porsche 911, but was made to elevate sports cars to control and enjoyable driving with stability and smoothness more, which gives a better experience and the sound of the engine itself is a musical icon to match the prices of its spare parts with its easy and cheap maintenance compared to its price. Your report was not fair

How dare you compare this piece of art to that of a Porsche 911 which is a money pit and rides harsh as a daily, and you get tired of driving it after a few weeks. I owned a 991 and that thing lived in the shop more than in my garage. You need to research how the LC 500 was born as this car has its own dedicated team and is manufactured in a totally separate building. This is a GT NOT a performance car.

Ok got it. The hybrid sucks. Never mind going into why Lexus IS offering a hybrid in a car like this....suppose it has more to do with corporate image and catering to a narrow market that wants a sustainable sport car. Anyhow, more than once or twice you declare that ¨no one is going to drive this like us¨. What.- I dońt think you guys are putzing around on that road over 50. If you mean your subscribers wouldn’t drive side by side on a two lane road as you show five seconds later, then you are right. No one drives like that. I guess you dońt think much of your subscribers. You compare this to a 911... they are totally different..... and you tell me what new 911 you can buy for 110k. The cheapest one is 95, and the S starts at 115. And the cheapest cabrio starts at 120 or so ..... and then Porsche style....you add basics like auto dimming mirrors and you go from there. I’d subscribe.....but if you dońt think your subscribers can handle 50 mph then....I ll pass.

The shots of the car rolling are done on a different pass than the drive for the interview. This is a very common approach and typically the rolling footage is also done at a slower speed. We assure you that speeds in the interview match the commentary. And while we agree that a new 911 quickly escalates in price beyond the LC, even Lexus consider the 911 a cross shopping alternative. Thanks for watching.

I agree with your stance on this. My gripe with them is the fact that they gave a negative critique on a hybrid car because it isn’t as sport as the gas model. It wasn’t made to be sporty, it was made to cruise and not drink as much gas as the gasoline model; to which it does exactly that. Lexus piped in fake engine noises so these type of “car enthusiasts” and “car reviewers” would shut the hell up.

20:27 I picked the LC over the 911 2CS 7MT. The price point was way off my 911 would have ben 160k the LC was 106 but i wanted something special and a 911 is a rich mans civic. Id not be special id be a dick in a 911. The interior of the LC is far better than the fully upgraded interior in the 911, i could care less about tech, the outside is great and they are both on par in performance i test drove them both back to back, well a base 911 and an LC. Sure the 2CS would have been faster but w/ the manual it would have brought me back up to the LC's 60 time and i have motos for manual fun or pure 200mph speed. So the LC was perfect for me. And don't talk to me about the Jag. Its a POS, from the door handles that feel like plastic to the interior that has plastic. Its not worth your money.

18:13 It is just enough. You put more power down and your looking for traction. The Red Eyes are great but you have to power it up right or your spinning your wheels. The LC is a big boys Miata in that i can use ALL its power and not get in trouble. And i do. What i want is better tires. The stock OEM run flats are crap. Im upgrading to some P Zero's which should lighten up the car, smooth and quiet it up.

Comparison given the quality of materials and design/performance should be the Aston DB11 and Bentley Conty. Then the sticker price makes sense!

21:40 I dont want anymore feel than the car has and i value performance. The modes have a great delta. I street race the car and I've never said i wanted more stability. I can pour speed through corners, i can get the ass to break loose i can do everything i want w/ no complaints. I can then put it in comfort and glide home.

A. Get a haircut. B. Don't do any more reviews. Two stupid guys insulting the finest car in production today. The Lexus designers and engineers did an out of this world job with the LC 500. I've owned mine for just under four years and it's without a doubt the best car of my life...and that's saying a lot! It's a car that does everything it's designed to do extremely well and it will never leave you stranded by the side of the road. As for these two bozos, ignore them. Undoubtedly, they are Porsche fans and BMW worshipers. They probably don't mind paying $750 for a wheel bearing. If you're a smart person looking for a car you will absolutely enjoy owning, driving and even looking at...any of the LC500 models will bring you joy.

We’re glad you like your LC500. Lots of things to like about it (many mentioned here) but no car is perfect. The guys have been reviewing cars for 15 years and driven most everything, as well as owned many brands. We not sure what’s to be gained by being insulting, but thanks for taking time to comment.

If you watched to the end, you would learned that they liked the convertible because it had a better overall experience having a NA 5l V8. Which sounds so much better than hybrid. Which is in line with pretty much any other review of the LC! I also own LC (convertible) but don’t let fanboyism blind you. You supposed to be happy not angry and insulting. Go for a ride.

14:00 Damn your wrong here too. I own a 22 coupe w/ DHP and I street race it, i run from police in it, i know the transmission temp runs out first on the track before brakes so if you want to make any performance mods a tranny cooler is your first go. I picked this over a 911 and i have absolutely no regrets.

And you guys dont have the performance model. A coupe w/ DHP giving you rear wheel steer which makes all the diff. So your making these comments w/ the two worst options available.

Currently drive a 2012 Genesis Coupe, next up is either a Cayman S or Supra 3.0, sounds like an LC-500c would be a great GT car for when I'm ready to drive a little more relaxed and not attack the canyons so hard.

I gave you all a thumbs up but I decided to buy the hybrid model because i don’t care about the rumble or speed but do care about the gas saving. Sure the gas may be minimal depending on your foot on the pedal but clearly if I want speed or rumble well then I can simply ride my GSXR 1000 which can reach 60mph in the first gear! Not going to tell you my max speed on it but regardless this car is my favorite car so far.

15:48 NO its not. LOL I mean if that's what your looking for a convertible then go for it. If you value performance stick w/ the coupe and go DHP its the only way to go and these guys should know better going on about this in a hybrid or conv. You get none of the performance bits that make the car a great performer. But if that's what you want then do it. But to make a blanket statement like this guy is doing here is wrong. Lots of ppl prefer the coupe over conv and vise versa. One is not best than the other, that depends on the owner.

17:26 LOL i wish that were true. My transmission denies me shifts all the time but I'm aggressive. I wish i could have the dealer unlock the ability to not be denied shifts. I track cars and motos so i know not to throw it in first gear @ 100mph. What a concept. Honestly if i want to blow up the engine LET ME!

I wish Lexus put the twin tubro V6 in the LS w/ the LS's transmission in the LC and call it an LC400 for 10k less than the 500. Id honestly consider it knowing i could chip it to make it faster than the 500.
