I've seen used versions at high 60's. They're not that old in terms of cars on the market. Would be nice if they could go down a little more. 40's maybe.

@@Normal_Garage Mid-high 70's for used LC500's right now. Im sure u could find one lower if you spent the time hunting. They're kinda still too new to pickup any lower than typical lot-depreciation prices. Maybe one thats had a small accident or something. Got a long while b4/if/when they drop in the $40k's. Besides salvaged titles.

To put in into perspective how well toyotas/Lexus hold their value, a clean body 1st gen IS300 with 150,000+ miles still pulls close to 10k depending on location. A 1998 4runner (thats a 23yr old vehicle )with 250,000mi will still pull like $7k + upwards the nicer its maintained. So yeah, maybe in 20-30years you'll find an LC500 under $40k lol.

I feel the biggest reason people aren't that interested in it is the price point! Over $100k for a Lexus that has less than 500hp just doesn't have a great value proposition! If it was closer to $65k to $70k than I think Lexus would sell these like hot cakes!

The reason Lexus has a hard time competing against the Germans in the high performance sedan arena is because they want to ensure all of their products are a 1 million mile reliable. The Germans use the latest tech and gadgetry but can't engineer anything to go past 80k miles without needing exorbitant maintenance costs to keep them running. It's hard to make high horsepower complex cars drop dead reliable specially when you start adding forced induction.

Wrong. In 10 years this car will appreciate in value. In 10 years manufacturers are going to be mi h deeper in the elec car age. Most new cars will be elec. Anything sold that's ice will be small block econo. These years will be remembered as the golden years of the V8 ice engine, when they would roll off the assembly line with 400-700hp stock. Anything performance v8 will be going up in price as elec cars take over and the gen that grew up driving ice cars and still remembers the feeling becomes nostalgic for the roar of the engine and the vibration through your body, cars that had soul. EVs are great in many ways and fast as hell but soulless.

I've had my 2018 just under four years. It's hard to express what a fantastic car this is. Mine in InfraRed with Toasted Caramel. It's the best car I've ever owned without question and I've owned some pretty "amazing" cars. All of them were junk compared to this LC 500. Four years without a single hiccup. No problems. No squeaks. No warning lights. It's so well-made and so thoroughly thought out it defies description. Couple that with the software/infotainment and it's a perfect car. I use VOICE COMMAND and haven't touched the trackpad more than five times in four years. Once you read the Owner's Manual and learn about the car, you run MENU/SETUP and select your personal preferences and then it's rare when you have to use the trackpad. There is nothing bad I can say about this car. As for the LFA, no person in their right mind would want to drive THAT CAR every day. It would be like driving a Bugatti Veyron every day. Yeah, great cars to lust over and look at but ridiculous to drive on public roads in traffic surrounded by people who don't know what they are doing. The LC is an every day car. As for the "looks", I might be alone but to me there is nothing that comes close inside or outside. It's a head turner all the way. It is plenty fast but it is not a race car nor was it intended to be. Your review was excellent. Keep un the great work.

It's a beautiful car, but like most Lexus vehicles it's underpowered and has dated technology, which can be tough for some people to look past given the pricetag. The LC has an absolutely gorgeous design, inside and out- it's a concept car come to life. IMO it's one of the best looking cars ever made... if they replace/update the infotainment with something that functions like it was designed in the past 5-10 years I will be picking one up. It sounds great, but it's a slow car... I can look past that... but the infotainment and menu system is terrible and I can't justify $90-100k to tolerate that.

The successor of the Toyota Soarer/Lexus SC400. People make the mistake of comparing this to sports cars (as they did with the predecessors).
