@@mervinprone well then that would make it sound "weak" Lexus don't usually make turbo charged hybrids but I think Ive found a general rule of their badging: (I have overcomplicated it ALOT) Every 1 litre displacement = 100, (e.g . 3.5 would be 350) 1 electric motor hybrid = +50h to the badge (e.g. ES 300h 2.5) dual electric motor hybrid = +100h to the badge (e.g. RX450h 3.5) Multistage hybrid/Direct4 hybrid = +150h to the badge (e.g. Ls500h 3.5) single turbo = +100 (no turbo badge after 2017) twin turbo = +150(e.g LS500 3.5) Using this theory 2.4 would be 250(rounded to nearest 50) + Direct4 hybrid (150) + single turbo (100) = 500h Direct4 Very very very very overcomplicated theory but it works on most models 😅

@@Kingnumber-nd9cl Right, exactly. It’s arbitrary. They’ve reduced the size of the engine and but changed the name of the model to imply an increased engine size. The numbers refer to the engine displacement. H for hybrid means electric motors. It doesn’t require any other description. Same with turbo. And it is a bit weak in the sense that the engine displacement is smaller. It would at least be accurate to describe the size of the engine in the model name.
