This is the absolute best resource for doing the door handles on an SC, thank you for helping me and many others!

That’s one detailed upgrade! I like the LED action. Should keep you alert!

I'm pretty sure the LED will keep people in other cars alert too. And probably some people watching from the stands.

I don't own a Lexus, but I still watched the whole thing! Really love the metal clip idea to hold the cable end. That trick could even be useful for throttle or clutch cables. Nice LED warning light too! Great tutorial, Jeff. I love how race car this all is.

It is very race car. It's nice not having to worry about working around the limitations of the stock interior. If I want a gigantic stupid LED in the dash, I can just drill a hole. 😀

The “compression washer thing” is called a C clip. To save yourself an hour of searching for it... (been there) don’t use a pick. Use a small precision type flathead screwdriver and pry one side up, then the other side... back and forth till it’s off. I learned that lesson while swapping out an English language day wheel to a kanji day wheel on a Seiko Turtle. The C clip is so small you need either perfect vision or jewelers glasses. .....good times I like the metal door handle idea. I was planning on using pull straps when mine break but maybe I’ll do this instead. The straps might look out of place in the SC interior. Thanks for detailed how to. 👌🏽

I'm working on a multi-part engine build and install video which is taking a bunch of time, so I thought I'd throw this episode together quickly to get some content out there.

0:28 Awesome video. I'll be using this tutorial. I've just got to correct you on one small thing. The Soarers had much higher end trim levels than the SC300 and SC400. The SC300 and SC400 were the equivalent of the base spec Soarers. The Soarer had a few trim levels above that. The highest being a $90k USD active hydraulic suspension, 4 wheel steer trim level fitted with the 1UZ.... they all still had the terrible plastic door handles though, haha

Fully Spooled LOL it’s great though man. You go through all the steps to. Some guys will show you what they are putting on and then snap to a shot of it being put on. Most of the time, things aren’t that easy. And you aren’t afraid to show it.

Mine broke on 2 occasions, 1 while my buddys car was on fire and I hurried out of my Lexus with a extinguisher in hand. 2nd was kids under 4 playing in the car while it was apart. Shitty deal either way. If another breaks I'm definitely doing this.

Fully spooled Please please please tell me that when you made the motor mounts you saved the templates, I’m doing the same swap but with a 6.0 an I’m trying too keep it budget friendly, I know it’s not cheap either way you go but It would be so helpful too know the measurements of those motor mounts
