Lets give the credit when it’s due. Can we appreciate that Leylah really played a better game? This is the 2nd time they played against each other, and for sure Leylah figured it out how Mirra plays unlike their first meeting. People tend to overlook that Leylah has already been a finalist in the US Open, and can really go deep in any tour. She’s improving, especially her serves.

Not sure why anyone would think Fernandez is ever going to be an easy out. No one gets past her easily even in a one sided scoreline, because getting to the scoreline usually takes 90 minutes of pure pressure. And then you still have to hit another ball back. Fernandez is one of the best players in the world at getting the ball back into the court and making you hit one more ball. That’s how she beats you.

It's strange to see how in bigger tournaments Mirra is dominating over the non top 20 players without problems and loses against players, like Sabalenka, Gauff, Rybakina and Keys, but in the smaller tournaments, where most of the top players don't play, she is getting eliminated early (she has losses against Rakhimova, Bondar, Stephens (who actually is a former GS champion, but here we judge the current ranking and form of the players) and now Fernandez, whom Mirra beat in a bigger tournament earlier this year). I think the problem isn't in Andreeva's playing style, the problem is in her mentality. Don't matter of that how big is the tournament, i feel that Mirra still isn't ready for a WTA title. I know that it's only her first season in WTA and her season is great in terms of consistency, especially on that age. But at the same time i am a bit worried about her. I hope to see her improving mentally, because she is one hell of talent.
