Nice to see someone who knows how to handle the gearbox properly, for both upward and downward changes

That's the stick swifts without a clutch pedal from 80s. Old timers SBS bus Drivers love to swift the gear first than release the accelerator. It's fun and unique sound from the engine and sometimes it jerks as it move yet it is indestructible. good old times memory. thanks for the great videos.

It's really great to see that there are vehicles preserved like this still around, a testament to the guys who have done this and who have kept her running. Great video

Nice bus. Like split rims and rear end looks smart. Good to see not scrapped.

my god, they don't hang around in HK do they? That was some fast moving bus! I got scared just watching it go down that hill...!
Steering is about as precise as a fully-loaded container ship. On a plus note, no need for any sort of driving monitors. Driver can’t doze off or look away for one moment or it will promptly roll over.

The AEC rear-engined Routemaster prototype was a far better engineered vehicle, but Leyland were jealous of AEC and stopped production 🧐

I read the boys in Leyland headquarters at Lancashire loathed AEC. So why buy it? To eliminate your rival which was the objective all along. Now neither are around.
