I fixed my washer for $14. Not only did I save money but the aggravation of waiting of waiting for the repair person that stood me up three times in two weeks. Thank you again for your very clear, and short, video. Take care

Thank you so much for this video. You saved me 600 e. I ordered the part and the repair went smoothly and was successful. Had to use long tire wrench to get the bolt off. Good blessings to you sir.

I wanted to thank you for proving the precise solution and great instructions for this repair. I got this exact same LE error and my machine was making that high pitch sound which is typical for the Hal sensor malfunction. I got this part earlier in the week and was able to repair it following the exact steps provided in this video. It took me much longer though primarily due to not having the right tools and two tight screws. Once I was able to go past those, it didn't take me much time. Much appreciated!

Thanks guys! This solved my problem too. At first, my washer was having a hard time spinning. It was making a high pitched noise and would move sometimes and sometimes not. I was not getting an error code. After messing with it a while it stopped spinning altogether and then I got the LE error code. I replaced the old part #6501KW2001A with a new #6501KW2002A. It works perfectly again! I really appreciate you guys taking the time to make this video!

It worked! Thanks for posting it. I'll note that on my LG the wiring harness had fallen down against the rotor and literally burned through a couple wires. Something to look out for. Spliced some new ones and used zip ties to keep it from happening again. Still this didn't fix the LE issue. Already ordered the sensor so went ahead and replaced that and so far so good (two loads with no issues knock on wood).

I've been using the laundromat for two months... took 20 minutes to fix once I actually bothered to try. It was tricky undoing the 17mm bolt, needed a solid hammer hit to my spanner before it loosened. Thanks.

Ben chaabane Sofiane Although very similar, these motor sensors are not interchangeable if you use the wrong one the unit will not work properly. You will need to use the motor sensor part number listed for your specific model. Thanks for the question.

Thank you for the video. I did change the sensor but after ten loads the following morning it did not work. Assumed defective part, which was replaced only to have the machine work and the next day not work. What am I doing wrong? It felt so good to repair with the assistance of my son and to save money.

Deana Daniel Are you getting an error code or how is it not working? You might just have a loose wiring connection at the sensor.

Yeah well, I have a wm0642hw and it turned out the problem was the braided anti leak stainless steel hoses, these evident have some kind of valve in them and the water pressure in my house stopped the hose up.. same 1E, lE error.. figured this out after having swapped out the sensor. Swapped in a set of rubber supply hoses and I was good to go.
