Part 1 of 2.
In Hawai'i, many of us enjoy fishing as a recreation. But what we enjoy even more is preparing a fresh seafood meal with what we've caught.
Tonight we are fishing (torching) on Anini Beach on the Garden Isle of Kaua'i for Octopus (Tako). As with most of these excursions we come across more than just Tako. Brown Slipper Lobsters in addition to two types of Octopus make their appearances.
It takes trained eyes and hard earned experience to capture these Cephalopods. But you will make the chef in your family very happy when you return home with one or two Tako!
