Thx for your advice. But one important element to get a cheap rent shall be your reference from your job. A lot of landlord require your stable income. Otherwise you may need to pay a big lump sum in advance to secure the rental
Thank you for your support! And nice to meet you! There are lots of private dance schools in the UK. Many children would learn Ballet, Tap or Modern. Typically, they would take RAD or ISTD exams. It might be worth looking at these teacher certificates.

Within one hour, you can take more then one bus journey for only £1.50, if you take the bus to work everyday, it only costs you £3 a day, no need to buy one month bus pass. Unless you take the bus 7 days a week. If you are over 60 years old, all transports are free including bus, tube, train , light rail and tram.
Canaan~ if possible, I would like to know more about private medical and dental service experience in the UK. Will the government provide free dental checkup for school kids? Thanks ~

Thank for sharing. Can I ask did all 3 of you (you, your husband and also your husband's classmate) signed the tenancy agreement or just 1 person? I'm not sure how the co-renting works
@jennifer_atkinson

Btw, your expenses list is far more realistic and comprehensive than most I have seen, no doubt being you actually recorded your spendings rather than rely on memory and also you have included miscellaneous items + contingency amount, the latter is so important cuz there will always be unexpected but necessary expenses

@@Dancerc So each one of you pay the rent to landlord him/herself directly? Cuz I may find someone to share a flat together, but if it's someone I don't know personally, I wish to see how it works and also how to protect myself
@Dancerc
4 жыл бұрын
@@jennifer_atkinson oh yes, if it is someone you don't know personally, definitely best to pay one's own rent to landlord directly. If you're sharing with a friend, you may decide the method of payment between landlord, you and your friend.
please advise which area is good for new comer to settle down

It really depends on preference. If I need to prioritize, I might first look at friends and family. Whether one has any friends in the UK, even not very close friend (I.e. old schoolmate?), because they can then at least give a little more advice on area/school etc. Secondly, I would look at jobs. Depends on one's originally career or job he/she wants to do in the UK, some job opportunities might only limited to big cities. I would suggest to plan a trip to the UK and look around in different cities before actually moving to the UK if possible.😊

actually, I been UK twice but just for vacation. First time stayed at London for few months zns Edinburgh for 3 months....drove around Aberdeen, Scarborough, Plymouth etc...and last time only 2 weeks in London.I think my job will be in Greater London or somewhere close to Heathrow area....by the way, thanks for your time to share valuable info and experiences 👍

@@alvinsoon8184 how about Reading or some smaller town that's close to Heathrow? If you don't mind driving, Reading is not too far from Heathrow. I know there is quite a big chinese community in Reading.

Bristol : weather over there?
@Dancerc
4 жыл бұрын
Weather in the uk is probably the first thing people complain about. But the southern part of the uk is definitely better than the northern part of the uk. It was cold last 2 weeks in Bristol, but suddenly it's like summer again this week. So it's hard to say.
