I just watched the Oasis documentary a couple months back and it was incredible to see just how massive they were around the world, and even though they were definitely big in the U.S., it didn't even compare to their popularity in Europe or even Japan. I'm in my late 20s, but I've loved Oasis since about 2008. Their first two albums are two of my favorites from the 90s, and honestly, definitely in my top 30 albums all time. James Kilgour I was meant to be seeing him at Reading at the end of August as kind of like my final thing before going to uni. Hearing the dude reel off some Oasis classics is pretty much a dream of mine. Reading isn’t officially cancelled yet but despite its late Summer date considering the UK isn’t meant to be letting pubs be open again until December I can’t imagine they’ll allow a festival in August. Fucking blows man.

Honestly it looks like no one was singing along but trust me, it was one of the most popular songs of the night. I think everyone was just in shock that he was there since he was a surprise guest. The moment he came on stage was one of the best moments of my life, everyone lost their shit.

it never stops amazing me how Britain become the factory of the most influential musicians on the planet. Iron Maiden, Motorhead, U2, Coldplay, Oasis, Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Rolling Stones, The Who, Joy Division, The Cure, Black Sabbath, Diamond Head, The Police, Eric Clapton, Cranberries, Phil Collins, Pink Floyd, Queen, Dire Straits, Stone Roses, Verve, Judas Priest, Deep Purple, Radiohead, Depeche Mode, the Clash, Blur, Jethro Tull, Gorillaz, Cream..............man the list just goes forever and forever. And it is only the top of the iceberg, how many great underground bands there were that we never heard of? Well done Great Britain!!!

Or pretty much ANY classic legendary hip hop artist.
