I love his personality, you can tell he was proud of the way he furnished his house without coming off as arrogant. Bless his soul.

He was a really kind, good, amazing person. Sad the house has sat empty. Hope it is restored and not torn down. Wonderful person. I don't think he ever stopped smiling the whole time! Aw. Just a precious person. Great sense of humor too. Good person 🧡 🙏

Just saw a video about this house. What it looks like now. 2023. It’s all worn down. Not in great shape. One of Lee’s best friends gave a verbal tour of this house from the outside. Was very interesting. It just shows us that nothing really lasts forever. Sooner or later it ends up being old and worn. Like us! But all those memories that relate to those places! Things. So many! He seemed like a good guy. No one is perfect.

I too enjoyed that video of his friend reminiscing about his life on the Liberace estate. I recently visited it and also was surprised of its condition, given its history . Sad really . People walk by oblivious to its history.. l guess this too shall pass .

I hope it’s okay that I put this link here. It’s a really excellent interview (current, March 2023 if I’m not mistaken) of a “piano student” of Liberace’s who lived in one of the little buildings on this property for about 4 years before we lost Liberace. And the interview takes place on the sidewalk outside this house! kzitem.info/news/bejne/mZCkzKd4jGWYl4I It even features a descendant of one of Liberace’s dogs!

Liberace was as much a child of the 1970's as KC and Sunshine Band and David Cassidy and Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods and Donny Osmond. He was healthy and he was making big bucks and had an acceptance by the entertainment industry that was the 1970's Lawrence Welk. He was obviously gay but who cares? The 70's was his time in the sun and all was right with the world. I remember him on shows like the Mike Douglas Show and the game show Peter Marshall had. Rest In Peace Liberace.

Interesting video, cool video, but it makes you realize just how pointless material possessions are within the bigger scope of life. The cabinets, the desks, the fine wood, the this, the that, all significant to him on that day in '72, but really insignificant and of no importance looking back all these yeas later...

Everything about Lee was all about his “things” and because of his ego he talked about his things over and over. His shows were insane with little to no humility. And an even sadder fact that has been commented on by many of his peers was that he was a mediocre piano player at best. He made up for it with his over the top entertainment and so the glitter, diamonds and furs. I understand why he kept insisting he wasn’t gay and overcompensated with “things”, none of which he was able to take with him. He really did love a sad and lonely life.
