We had the piano roll of Liberace performing "Slaughter on 10th Avenue," and it is the quintessential rendition.

say what you will about his kitschyness, he was an amazing pianist, and the half measure of random overdrive at 1:42 was a rocking as it was revolutionary!

I wanted to take rifle shooting lessons as a kid so my parents made me take piano. My sisters could play a bit but I never got much past Mary had a little lamb. I love this song and was listening to different versions. I saw this and wondered how anyone could play this on a piano. Now my favorite is still the John Wilson Orchestra version but DAMN! This is nothing but pure genius. Now I have to dig through more Liberace videos.

THANK YOU ...showmanlee. I don't know how you do it. Where do you come up with these GREAT TV guest spots from the 50's & 60's? I'm a professional entertainer today because of "Mr. Showmanship" ... and I so appreciate these wonderful performances by my inspiration ... LIBERACE !

Rare performance without the candleabra. I have his piano arrangement and have performed it a couple of times. :-) G!

D. Gonz. Couldn't have candelabra in. this performance as when the curtain is pulled it would be blocking view of some of the choir.

Amazing......He makes it look so easy, yet this must've taken years to be able to play like this...Not so sure though about his later caricature tinsel town ventures.....even though it brought him great wealth...
