AWESOME! A few years ago I started carrying Civil Defense in my DCG. There are still people saying this stuff is GIMMICK ammo. I DON'T AGREE! I'd much rather hit them with this and a few inches into the chest cavity there's an explosion and nothing usually comes out, saving peoples lives who may have been a victim of a pass through round striking them. I wouldn't call this GIMMICK at all. Thanks for the video, need to pick up some of those plates for sure!!

It’s the best self defense ammo on the market don’t listen to them. It does exactly what you want a self defense round to do which is dump all its energy on impact without passing through possibly hitting a bystander. All while creating a devastating wound track. Also given the reduced recoil as well as the increased velocity this round is awesome.
@drbkjv
9 ай бұрын
Why awesome? Only 2 of the 30 rounds did what they are supposed to do. They are supposed to beat level 3A armor and only 2/30 did. Thats about a 7% success rate. Thats a FAIL. What do you like about this test?

@drbkjv This ammo isn't designed to defeat body armor. It just happens to travel quickly enough that it often does, especially when the plate is properly supported (not leaning against a brick or a piece of wood). Gel tests demonstrate what this ammo is supposed to do: fragment, creating a devastating wound channel. It does that exceedingly well.

@SaltyMaverick

Yes, but for whatever reason that Liberty Ammunition has yet to explain, their .357 Magnum ammo is only rated to be 60 fps faster than their 9mm +P, despite using the same bullet weights in both and the .357 Magnum having far more case capacity. Some people have even reported the .357 Magnum having real velocities ***LESS*** than the 9mm. They really need to fix that.

@@brettscott3759 Energy is not momentum, which is not damage. I'm an engineer. The physics for momentum vs. energy proves a big difference. Two bullets with the same momentum will have vastly different energy. A heavier bullet with the same energy has FAR more momentum than a lighter bullet. Momentum = mass × velocity Energy = 1/2 × mass × velocity squared Muzzle energy is nearly identical between higher and lower weight bullets. Because of this, the heavier bullets typically do the same damage, with the same energy, but have far more momemtum and penetration. There seems to be something that happens at higher velocities that increases penetration a lot, though. Talking about Mach 2.5+, 2600+ fps, especially above 3200fps.

@@humbertogutierrez9300 yes they are the Justin’s but polarized.I wish I didn’t get the polarized but I did unfortunately…as for 5.7 man I hate that round and I don’t really recommend it to anyone. It weighs less than a 22lr so it doesn’t do as much damage as a 5.56, it costs a dollar per round, $0.75 per round for training ammo, it literally costs as much as self defense ammo for pretty much any other caliber. Sure it’s an iconic round but only because of the gun it was made for and not because of the round itself, also we as civilians can’t get the ammo that made this round so popular unless you wanna pay $5 per round and that’s not a joke, I bought a 22mag and a 17hmr and a 57 and I have to say I didn’t really see any difference in them besides 22mag didn’t beat level 3a armor and the other two did…5.7 for self defense is a great option but a well placed 9mm or 10mm will do more damage in my opinion. I literally have over 500 rounds of 5.7 ammo and no gun to run it thru because I’ve not found one besides the p90 that I actually want and I can’t afford $1700 for a gun just because I liked it on call of duty…the damage out of a FN57 pistol vs a FNP90 is night and day difference and I mean it’s a crazy difference…maybe one day I can make a video on that but I’ll have to borrow the guns, if your gonna buy a 57 I recommend the Ruger 57 LC Carbine, DO NOT waste your money on the Ruger 57 pistol, I’ve never seen one of them actually stay consistent and I mean it’s an insane under performance for what that round is capable of doing accuracy wise and I’ve ran 3 different ruger 57 pistols…I’m gonna upload a video on the carbine from ruger and I have to say I was surprise at the accuracy out of it and the ballistics but I would def skip a pistol chambered in 57 just because 10mm is way better ballistics and accuracy wise out of a Glock 20 or even more so a Glock 40 mos long slide

But two things: 1) do you actually sincerely believe that he was literally saying that you're guaranteed to survive? As opposed to the chance that he was just speaking off hand and was really just sloppily saying that you won't be penetrated? I very much doubt that you do. And 2) all you had to do was say "Someone can still die just from blunt force trauma even if plates prevent penetration." You didn't have to throw in all kinds of pretentious medical jargon.

I bet that sig would have broken the sternum and the 45acp would have broken several ribs. I'm not a Dr but fuck

I’d say the 357 sig and the 10mm would punch hard enough to stop the heart to be honest

Those plates are made for 89 lb girls and if the center in a carrier would not cover my heart nor lungs/heart of the average 8th grader.

I think it actually stopped it but I may be wrong, I think they tested it up to 762 tok at like 1500fps, they did test tok I just looked it up they tested this armor against 762x25 tok at 16.5 yards and it didn’t defeat it….this armor is some legit stuff for sire

Their actually faster than the box depending on the gun…I seen the 10mm hit 2590fps which is absolutely insane, that’s almost 300 blackout speeds

Because if I’m wrong I take it down and fix it, you won’t get context until I make the next video explaining how I was wrong
