When i start from point 'y' at: 0.00 and add 10 to it, it should end at y = 10, not - 10, right. Somenthing is WRONG man. 27:28 - there should be 100 mm (here: 15:48), I am so exhausted! 27:02 for dimensions, you should always use "snap on entity". Thank you, bye!

Hi Ghost Erik; Thank you for your input - all input is extremely valuable. Some viewers state that this tutorial is too slow as you have mentioned. I do agree and have purposely recorded it slow for those who appreciate following at this pace rather than stopping and replaying the tutorial in parts to attempt to understand what is happening. For those who find the slow pace too monotonous they can speed up there video player speed to 1.25X or 1.5X or 1.75X for faster playing. Playback on the KZitem site in a web browser can be changed by pressing the (+,-) keys for speed increase and decrease. It appears that many people are in fact in a "HURRY" these days - time is money. When in Babylon (Rome) do as the Romans do. Thank you for your comment. howtopam

Hi a Boswell Inniss; I think you are describing [Angular] dimensions. If the text remains too small to be seen, you can go to [Options] on the upper tool bar and from the drop-down menu choose [Current Drawing Preferences] and from the new small window that opens up choose [Dimensions]. On the [Dimensions] tab window you will see in the left column a field [Text Height] and it is defaulted to "2.5mm" change it to "4.5mm" or "6.5mm" or what ever size you desire. Then in the right column you will see the field [Arrow Size] change that field to your desired size. Now you save your changes and the text and arrow heads on your drawing will appear larger. Such shortcuts with keyboard hot keys in conjunction with use of the mirroring tool to duplicate entries around the center axis greatly increase software efficiency. There are other CAD applications for Linux, but Librecad for 2D drawing is the most complete and proficient software available. For 3D solids there is an application called FreeCad that produces solids proficiently. @dushyantvyas4087

Both softwares, LibreCAD and FreeCAD, are frustrating. These are very complex to draw just continues polyline, line by line, by giving dimension like AutoCAD. For example, {L > enter > (mouse cursor direction) > Draw a line > give dimension} regardless of (-) or (+) sign while giving dimension to any entities. It should be, Click start point, move cursor anywhere and just enter the dimension KEEP IT SIMPLE SILLY. that's it why it so hard for drawing like that in LibreCAD. Also it will take months to draw an Assembly drawing (such as Engine assembly). Going to Line Icon and then click mouse cursor to snap point and (frustrating) dimension according to its position with positive or negative sign.....it is too much annoying. Second annoying thing is its Snap point, it is nearly impossible to make a line, exact from midpoint at first attempt. Why developer of this b******t software thinks it can be used as professional like AutoCAD or Draftsight? They can never be alternative of AutoCAD, Draftsight (or even CorelCAD). Take example from BLENDER (3Ds Max/Maya's alternative) and INKSCAPE (Corel Draw/Adobe illustrator's alternative), an open-source softwares, in which one can work without annoying. These open source softwares can be used as Alternative without scratching your head. LEARN DEVELOPERS LEARN from BLENDER / INKSCAPE. LibreCAD and FreeCAD can be used for fun.

the lack of volume is a serious problem with this video. If one doesn't have external speakers, they're NOT hearing you.

Hi andrewmvenegas; Thank you for your concern about this video volume. I just checked the volume in Firefox web browser and in Slimjet web browser and the sound has plenty of volume in these browsers. The sound issue that you are experiencing could be some other problem. I am including a link to information from other youtube video listeners who have also experienced volume relate issues. You may find a solution here. www.quora.com/Why-is-the-volume-so-low-on-so-many-KZitem-videos Thank you howtopam

Hi Henry Casson; Thank you for viewing this video. If you find it plays too slowly you can change the playback speed in the KZitem viewer. At the bottom of the view-port window click on the "gear" icon and a menu will open. The playback speed option is in that menu and preset to "normal". Click on the "normal" and another menu will open offering video speed playback options. Choose a speed that you are comfortable with and the video will play faster. Thank you. howtopam

It is kind of confusing why you put -20 to create a line towards positive Y axis. When entered 20 it was darfted downwards. It supposed to be opposite.
@howtopamcom
2 жыл бұрын
Hi Mill Vanilli; I like to think of the negative (-) symbol as only reverse or backup from the direction that one is currently headed. If I travel 20 units along the 'Y' axis, then, to backup 5 units I must use the (-) negative symbol as "-5" units. Thank you for your inquiry. I hope this info is helpful. If you require further info on this or any other librecad topic please comment and I will attempt to provide more data. Thank you for viewing this tutorial video. howtopam

@@howtopamcom Thanks for replying. This video is obviously for people that have experience in using these drawing tools. The demonstrator does so many steps in quick in succession and using unexplained terms that after a couple of minutes my head is spinning. My main problem is the black background, if the background was white with black lines maybe I could play around but a black or any coloured background is totally off putting. Is this the first of a series or have I missed a beginners video?

Simple, This is ways to slow and kids today move 10x what your doing.. There is a way faster way to just snap in some lines then what your doing. Not to be mean, but you think way to slow and it shows over and over my man.. You think about it,,, then tell your hand to move... then think about how your hand just moved... and you restart you thought over and wait for confirmation of the action of something and stop for tea time and move on.... I get where you are going and some guys do it so fast your like SLOW down so I can pee... .. its a video and we can stop it, go back and replay it over and over... so just talk and walk please..

Hi Lankster Price; All comments are appreciated as constructive critical feedback. Thank you for your comment. This video is recorded very slow, offering students an opportunity to view and attempt to understand the creative logic employed. Some learners are advanced in their skills to where they already understand the functions. If a viewer finds the tutorial too slow, they can speed up the playback in their video player to view the video at 1.5X or 1.75X or 2.0X speed to achieve a comfortable viewing speed. The video is well done, but the volume is incredibly low. I do not know if it is the speaker's voice, or if he had the mike off-axis, but this video is very difficult to hear without the volume control on my computer cranked to max. I usually cannot handle how loud KZitem videos are with the volume control over half way up. The signal to noise ratio is very poor.

If you spend your time looking at the options, you will find that just like the things howtopam stated as "different in the last edition" apply to this one too. They are still there, but under different headings. It isn't the tutorial that is not helpful, it is that programs shuffle their working ideas so that people have to constantly learn new things. But all you need to do in this instance is spend some time navigating your buttons. It's not that difficult.
