We recently went to Disney on ice. My daughter had no head to head contact with any child in the building. When we walked out I saw about 15-20 bugs on the top of her head. We are African American and I had just braided her hair so I KNOW nothing was there prior. I didn’t think anything about it till moments later driving home I had a gut feeling to google lice pulled over and sure enough, that’s what I had just picked out her hair 🤢. If head to head is the only way how did she get it? Also I’ve been going through daily and cutting out the nits as I see them as the lice combs will not comb through. Is just cutting out what I see sufficient?

This Lady is right the schools are not to blame head lice happens and it starts at home. Also, it can happen in a home with good parents so parents, if your kid gets lice from another kid, don't bash the parents. It happens it can be dealt with Lice happens. Most of the time the parents are good parents sometimes not but most of the time a kid with lice can come from a great responsible family. Head Lice is a part of childhood some kids are fortunate they never get it but for those that do, it can be handled it is not the end of the world and parents freaking out only makes the kid that has it feel like there is something wrong with them and we do not want that do we of course not. And most schools are great about it but sometimes as with other things, there are schools that do not give a rip we can not lump all schools in with a few lame ones there are more good ones than bad ones.
