More than 3,000 Ukrainians have returned from captivity during the war. Here are the stories of some of them. We asked the former prisoners how they live now, whether they have found a home, a job, and an understanding.
Ihor Kozlovskyi is a Ukrainian scholar, theologian, candidate of historical sciences, writer, and public figure. From 2011 to 2015 he worked as an associate professor at the Department of Philosophy of the Donetsk National Technical University.
In January 2016, he was captured by militants of the so-called "DPR" for his pro-Ukrainian position, tortured, and held captive for almost two years. He was released from captivity on December 27, 2017.
