It has been exactly one week since my man friend passed away. I refused to believe he would die, never wanted to even have those negative thoughts. He was trying to prepare me while he was in the hospital via text and phone calls, my mind could not comprehend that he might not survive. I never imagined such pain and though my heart is broken, I am still praising God through this storm because I know my friend is sitting at the right hand of God. The pain I'm feeling is nothing compared to the joy that is coming (Romans 8:18) and that brings me comfort but just when I think I cannot cry any longer, the tears flow like a river. I’m praying for you Denise. Losing your Dad is bad enough, but to lose your son because of another’s horrible, selfish choice is so hard. I know this because I was maimed by a drunk driver in 2015. I went through a real serious phase of anger. I’m telling you this, because I want you to know, God understands every emotion. Tell Him if you feel angry. I did, I yelled it at Him. I screamed “Why?” He didn’t strike me dead. He stuck with me. He became so close to me, I was seeing God Winks every day.The anger eased over time...to numbness and yes even forgiveness. You will be in my prayers. ♥️

This was a great video. I know you are going through a lot right now. I lost my dad in 91, my mom in 98, and my daughter in 2014. It was very hard when I lost my dad, but I didnt think I would be able to get through losing my mom. Every time I tried to write thank you notes I was overwhelmed. My sister told me to put them away and send them later. Sorry to say later never came. My daughter died as a result of a wreck. She had had a lot of sickness as did both my parents. God has helped me get through all of their passings. It was a relief knowing they were no longer sick but I still missed them. You do not have to reply to my comment. I know you are overwhelmed right now. Take care of yourself and I'm glad you have family helping you through the tough times. I have enjoyed your videos. I dont cook much anymore, I'm 73, but I have a grandson that's 21 that likes to eat. So I'm planning to try some of your recipes. Again, take care of yourself and hang in there. God has got this. Thank you for "tuesday talks' Becky. You are a beautiful witness to what faith truly means. I am the last of my family. My only sibling, my brother 5 years younger than me, suffered through kidney failure, dialysis, amputations, and died in my arms (literally) 4 years ago. I did every thing I could to make his life easier, to help him, and after he passed, I was so numb I couldn't see in color for a very long time. I know in my heart that my brother believed in God, but when our Dad passed away at 59 years old, my brother "got mad" at God and held onto that anger for most of the rest of his life. But in my heart of hearts, I know he believed deep in his soul. So I know we'll see each other again some day. God promises ever lasting life if we but believe that Jesus is our Savior, He died for our sins and He rose again on the third day. God forgives us by his blood. Thank you for your unyielding faith and love for our Lord and may He keep you close and forever in His loving grace until you see Bret again. God bless you and your family, Becky. With love from Indianapolis, Alexandra Eads.

Great topic for the first conversation because so many don’t talk about death. Seems off because it’s part of living. It’s the final chapter and nobody knows how to deal with the loneliness. So many want you to not show your emptiness and tears to shove them under the carpet so they’re comfortable around you. Why are we uncomfortable with tears, crying, sadness with the loss of those leaving a huge hole in your world. Doesn’t matter who it is in your life. We’re all different and had different childhoods affecting us throughout our lives that make those in our present life’s passing, unbearable. I could say so much about the need to keep them exposed into the presence of others around you because it’s not normal to bear pain in silence. No one is meant to go alone. I had so much healing every time I spoke of my brother, then my sister in the same year. Neither was sick until immediately diagnosed. God bless us in our pain and give us strength to suffer the pain in letting them go on into God’s goodness. I love you and wish you lived close to me. I’m sorry for your horrific loss of your sweetheart husband. Thank you for your brave approach in your loss. Good bless us everyone. Good night

Becky, My heart goes out to you and your family. You are lucky to have some good support to help you get through this. A large family certainly helps. My prayers have been including you since I read about losing Brett. I lost my beautiful wife of 46 years on Nov 3, 2107. It's been 4 years and I'm still seriously grieving her loss. We retired to a 20 acre farm way out in the country to a place where we knew no one. My daughter and grandsons (9 &11) are 30 miles away so I don't see them often. I have no other family or friends for support and sitting here alone hasn't helped me. I still have many issues with life and getting through the day. Nothing much seems important any longer. I don't sleep well and eating isn't much of a priority. Nothing is fun or of interest anymore. I'm sorry to be a downer for you but I had to release this and you were so heavy on my mind I can't help myself.

Becky, you have been on my mind and in my heart. I think of you so often, knowing you lost Bret when you were 53. I was the same age at 20 year's ago when I lost my husband, unexpectedly. You are so strong and so brave. Thinking back to my loss, I was nowhere near to acceptance as you are today. I'm so happy to know you have your family who apparently is nudging you forward proving their love for you. Your first devotional touched my heart and helped me. I'm still praying for you and all of your family. Much love is sent your way. Until later, God Bless You Becky. Linda from Texas.

I cried for you as hard as I cried when my husband died over 11 years ago. I am so very sorry you had to experience this pain. You aren't alone. He's still with you. He always will be. God bless you.

May God continue to hold you close in his loving arms, God bless you all, trust that the Lord reached out to Brett's hand and he lead him to the promise land, a friend of ours little girl lost her grandmother Sunday from brain cancer and she told me Jesus took her grandma's hand and took her to the river that flows with milk and honey. Brett's in a good place there's no weight of the world, you stand strong and courageous, Jesus will get you through this trust in him, keep spreading the gospel to the people this is so desperately needed in today's world. Peace be with you all. I am home bound do to a accident I miss church and the gathering together as Christ said we should do. But I trust in him his plan is greater than I can imagine,.

Becky your Tuesday Talk is amazing, I feel so blessed to have you in my life. You keep me uplifted in spirit and faith. I am going through a very difficult and stressful time, my husband has Dementia which is progressing quickly. I am his 24/7 caretaker. My husband Jim and I developed Covid and pneumonia in August putting him in the hospital for 10 days, I took care of myself at home. I would truly appreciate prayers from the Hillbilly Kitchen Group. I need to get myself healed from Covid, I am very sick and have not been able to keep food down since August, I have lost 28 lbs and am a small person to begin with for my size. My husband needs me to care for him and I need to get better to do this for him. I am a Christian but am struggling with my faith right now. I love Jesus with all my heart. I also want to pray for others in this group, we all need support from each other. Thank You 🙏❤️🙏❤️

Two of my close friends have become widows the past couple of years. One was expected because her hubby was diabetic and ended up with kidney failure. The other was totally out of the blue. Thankfully these two women know each other and can talk to each other and support each other. My hubby was diagnosed with dementia just days before Christmas 2019. He is changing before my very eyes. I cared for my mama before she passed with Alzheimer's so I am somewhat prepared for the journey that the Lord has me on. Life is uncertain, we never know what will happen day to day. I am so thankful to have faith in the Lord and the assurance that when we do lose someone we will see them again. Our blessed hope. God bless you for sharing your experience.

I knew a lady who had lost her husband and when she was close to dieing looked up and saw her husband and named others she was related to that she saw and she was so happy and her face glowed. They do know what's going on in your life so in a sense they are still with you. They are even more alive than they were before they crossed over. They constantly feel such great strong love from God and Jesus. They are happier than you can ever imagine. I died when I was a young child and got to be held by a grandmother who died when my mom was sixteen years old. I treasure that experience tremendously and look forward to seeing her again as well was all the other family and friends who have crossed over. I have no fear of death.

During a fierce battle General Stonewall Jackson was atop his horse watching the progress of his troops. His adjutant ran up to him and said "sir, get off your horse and seek cover, the Yankees are advancing and we are under heavy fire!" Stonewall said "Young man, God has appointed the hour and manner of my death, why I'm as safe here on my horse as I would be at home in bed."

My brother passed away in February, his widow was not near any family or friends and didn't get out much even before his passing. She was found dead in her home a few days ago. It is so sad.
