I've definitely been in the same situation. It's like a goddamn cancer. Good luck with it. I remember you saying you had an opportunity as a truck driver (or something similar)? Maybe that's still an option? A buddy of mine went from years of being miserable in insurance sales to selling kayaks recently & has never been happier. Hopefully you can find the same sort of satisfaction by going in a much different employment direction. Best of luck, hombre.

You are SO doing the right thing. No job in the world is worth making yourself unwell over. I've been there myself and I had to quit my job and go back to my parent's once because I just could no longer take the job. Unemployment is not nice but rather that than have a job that's really affecting your health. What's the point in that? You go for it my friend and don't worry. These things have a habit of working themselves out in the end and one day you'll look back and wish you'd left sooner!

Wow. I really feel for you man. But it sounds like you've made a good decision. No job is worth that. I wish you nothing but the best.

Heeey, we can be funemployed together because I just got laid off today. Woo. In all seriousness though, I hope everything went over ok when you talked to your work people. Leaving a job is scary if you don't know where your next stepping stone is gonna be but I hope you are able to find a job that's a far better fit for you, one that won't make you physically ill from stress.

Never quit a job unless you've got another waiting for you. It fucks your resume the same as being sacked.
