At approximately 8:35 am on September 11, 2024, Pacific County 911 - PACCOM toned out Raymond Fire Department medical services for a rollover accident with an unconscious driver in the vehicle near mile marker 22 in SR 6. Two Raymond Fire Department Ambulances responded to the scene and requested dispatch call Life Flight and Airlift Helicopter Ambulance services to see if they were available to transport the patient to a hospital while they were en route to the accident scene. Menlo and Willapa District 3 Firefighters responded to the accident scene in Fire Engine 32 and 34 along with a Lewis County District 11 Pe Ell Fire Department Rescue Rig. State Route 6 was closed for approximately 90 minutes while Fire Department personnel cut the windshield out of the truck to extract the driver from the vehicle and for the Life Flight Helicopter Ambulance to land on SR 6. Life Flight Helicopter Ambulance service transported the patient to Northwest Hospital in Vancouver, Washington. Washington State Patrol Troopers are conducting the accident investigation.
