I think Estonia doesnt want to be part of Nordic anymore, we rather want to find our own path
@KohaAlbert

It is actually incredibly hard to pinpoint us to anywhere. It really is that huge and diverse land when looking from inside out. In short yes, we are Nordic, as well as we are northern Europe. Geographically Europe stretches to Ural mountain range. Above all we are Estonians (all of our about 190 ethnic groups - there's more in reality). We are Baltics en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Livonia We are also and not only by language eng.fennougria.ee/ We are Nordic even in our mentality: www.nordicestonia.com/ But to many of us like our flag as it seems to depict our Nordic home and we do have to equalize our pluses some how. Not to mention en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Estonian_Swedes Coastal-Estonians in those areas are culturally, linguistically and mentally more similar to them compared to other Estonians, as they were more similar to those Estonians, compared to mainland Swedes. kzitem.info/news/bejne/uZiEzJOQgaCBd4Y Locals considered themselves as islanders not swedes or estonians while both did kept their own language and culture for centuries We have our participation for Russia: kzitem.info/news/bejne/yIudnGdnk6teZ3o might provide some interesting perspectives to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kievan_Rus%27#Origin We have quite huge impact to our culture and education from en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baltic_Germans Many seem to forget their responsibility for www.estonica.org/et/Ajalugu/1850-1914_%C3%84rkamisaeg/Rahvuslik_%C3%A4rkamine/ We have our Slavic influence www.starover.ee/index.html and en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russians_in_Estonia Of course many know about our Soviet influence, it left huge mark/wound to our identities and cultures. To all those different minorities. But quite many of us still have kzitem.info/news/bejne/w52CuYKbbX-LkqA and kzitem.info/news/bejne/r5WayZiDa6WdhXo with kzitem.info/news/bejne/mY2Y26yKkmide44

In the end, Nordic is their club and they didnt want us in it. So be it. But there are no good reasons to include Finland and not Estonia. The only difference is Estonia was part of Soviet Union and nordics didnt want any of that in their club.
@KohaAlbert
3 жыл бұрын
@@sulevturnpuu5491 Well, first of all Nordic and Scandinavian are different concepts, usually foreigners to the area mix these up. At best Estonia being Finnic could strive for Fenno-Scandia, but then leaving out Baltic. Take Estonia and Latvia, culturally is there really that much enough to truly separate both from one another. Main exception is language. Well, we have NB8: vm.ee/et/uudised/joint-statement-nordic-baltic-nb8-foreign-ministers-annual-meeting Also on personal level, majority of people I have communicated from other Nordic countries to see Estonia as part of the grouping. But there are differences that are pointed out (which I agree), that to be equal partner, we have to improve our economy, and take more care to some of our social aspects, like wage cap (too many make to low living), etc. They see whole Baltic similar as whole Scandinavia - not in a bad way, and are aware of Estonia special case of stronger ties with Finland and both ties with Sweden And there are others that play with idea of wanting them being seen as Nordic or compare them with Nordics or aspire towards idea, like Ireland and Scotland. England is quite fuzzy in that regard. Personally I would not have issues seeing them as such. And again what ties them together similarly to Baltic and Scandinavia is being British Islands.

The outer shell must protect against wind. If the wind is cold then it will blow all the warm air out of your clothes. Cold, windy and wet together is the worst. A good long shell works wonders and you wont even need much else underneath it. Try to get one which also protects the neck. Enjoy!

In my opinion it’s time to let Estonia be a nice small Nordic country. Estonia very deserves to be a Nordic country, because Estonia has done a lot of work, we have many smart people, we are good at digital things, we have northern lights and we are very similar to Finland and other Nordic countries like: Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland and Greenland. We are not similar to Latvia and Lithuania and the other Eastern Europe countries. It’s time to stop calling Estonia Eastern Europe country and Baltic country and forget all this terrible, rude and mean Soviet times. Let’s just stop this Eastern Europe and Soviet stigma thing and let Estonia turn the new page and let them be a normal small Nordic country next to Sweden and Finland!!! Estonians call themselves the Nordic country and many other people and tourists had also said that Estonia should be a Nordic country, because Estonian people are Finnic people not Balts and we are more similar to Scandinavia. Yes many people had agreed with that Estonia must belong to the Nordic group and seperate from Latvia and Lithuania. They don’t even need these countries, because Estonians communicate more with Finns and other Scandinavian countries. Estonia will be a very good partner for the other Nordic countries. We will do a very great work and we will be very strong!!! 🥰🙏
