Here is a short compilation of footage that was shot for one of the projects undertaken by me with National Institute of Design in 2011. Visit to this part of the country marks the onset of an ever growing love for the North East and in particular Nagaland. Located 20 km west of Kohima is Khonoma village. Reputed for their courage and valor, it is the village of A. Z Phizo, Father of Naga Nationalist Movement. It was here that the Naga warriors made their last stand against the British in 1879. It is a snippet of routine activities like children playing, loin loom weaving, collecting firewood, community get-together and an overview of the architecture of village. A special mention of the ever so cheerful, vibrant and talented Tetseo Sisters from Nagaland. I thank them for allowing me to use the soundtrack for this video. Many thanks to a dear friend Imcha Imchen for getting the permission. www.tetseosiste...
