Well done Alfie, sometimes there just isn’t enough wind to race. I know this feeling all too well. On other occasions there can be too much !! The main thing is giving it a go, and yes having enough crew really helps out. As others have commented, it was lovely to see Devlin on board again. Nice luxury touch with the new cushions. 😁👍

Looks like Devlin has a fan club looking at the comments. It is good to see you both enjoying the boat. Those cushions do look comfy and smarten the cockpit. Looks like the bow sprint needs a bit of tlc :) Find maya and Alidino for varnish and boat renovation skills (Magic carpet). Maya is from your area so you'd have a lot in common

I moved back to Switzerland but I have had my Fortune 30 at Maple Bay Marina. There is no other, nicer, more refreshing Coast as Vancouver Island. I will come back Home, starting in June, coming from the Mediterranean, Europe. Would be nice, if Canada would become again, what it was during WW2.

Wonderful video. By the way, I ave a cousin tat lives on Salt Spring Island. The new sails look pretty darn good. It was tremendous to see a short clip of Northern Dancer, healing over a bit witsome wind on her. Too bad the wind dropped to zero. You know I certainly love all your adventures. If I come home for a visit I will stop ove to the Naniamo ara, where my sister jus bought a new house. She was up in Sointula, on Malcolm Island, off the north end of Vancouver Island. You are really taking tremendous care of Northern Dancer. Keep it up, Brother.

Good to see you both on board and your HC is looking beautiful. Great filming and commentary as usual. I have the smaller sister of ND ( a HC38) based in the Philippines, undergoing a longish list of refurbishing items and upgrades. Not had time yet to sail her in anger, plus some of the jobs are mission critical, but one of my options for a first sail is to join a regatta in late October, a cruise of about 180NM to get there. Seeing your racing has certainly inspired. I too may have to seek a few crew members as the average age of my standard crew of 3 is north of 65 years young! Enjoy your summer and thank you again for an inspiring video.

Ah, that's disappointing when the wind does that: The snowball cup in YK ended like that in 2018: only the fastest boat in our fleet was able to finish. And not only was there no wind but our outboard gave out so we couldn't even get back to the clubhouse for the party! Luckily someone missed us enough to send a dinghy to tow us in. Still, one of the most magical nights on the water: Northern lights and a full moon made for some unbelievable pictures!

Alfy, Alfy, Alfy, what is going on up there? Is it the water, the air? I swear, your two girls look younger, rejuvenated and more beautiful than ever! I suspect you've found the fountain of youth, even you are looking spiffy and debonaire! I love the new, crisp, clean sails, the new cushions look comfy, the new lines are as pearly bright as Devlin's beautiful smile and her and ND5 are giving off a majestic aura that just radiates across the water. I know that you are the master of film but those girls are making your job easy. When I go sailing I never mind floating any more than I mind the terror of big windy seas but I especially appreciate my crew's patience when the the doldrums hit. I found you and your crew's serene response to the calm winds very satisfying. I am amazed that you did not have a long line of potential crew members begging to board. If I were even in the same country I would be graveling to come aboard as your Chef, Cabin boy, deck scrubber or whatever just to have a moment on such a fine vessel with such beautiful souls. Thank you so much for sharing such a blood pressure lowering, mind satisfying, commercial free sailing utopia. Hi Devlin!💞....⛵⛵⛵
