This is the best ending. They don’t become conquerers or anyone who would strike first. They become a pair of fierce, strong young men who want nothing more than to run their little repair shop in piece, and will rough up anyone who tries to walk over them. Best of all, they are brothers. Bound in blood and always having each other’s backs no matter what happens, just like Dad always wanted…

@@mrenigma1564blood brothers sounds the best on paper, but at what cost did they cross the border? How do you think Chris, Karen, the Reynolds, and everyone else Sean and Daniel met feel with them living as fugitives who can never return back home? I seriously doubt Esteban would have wanted this life for his kids. Sure, Sean gets 15 years in prison in the redemption ending. But every ending involves some sort of sacrifice and I would argue this ending fits LiS2 thematically the most. With Sean surrendering, he ensures Daniel has a chance to live a normal life and grow up without the burden of being a criminal, which also shows just how much he loves his brother. The whole game also involves Sean running away from his problems, the redemption ending actually symbolises his acceptance of responsibility which highlights his personal growth by the end of the game. None of which can be with the blood brothers ending.

@@tvih84 Not really, but they are together. The big problem with part aways ending is that they aren't together. However, they do live a pretty good life separately. Even though Daniel didn't want to go to Puerto Lobos, he is with Sean. Both of them can watch each other grow up together, which makes it part of Daniel's childhood. Daniel loves Sean, and seeing them apart is so sad. When they were together in Mexico, it was very rough. They had to do what they had to do to live in Mexico. In the end of blood brothers ending, they did what they wanted to do. Part aways is a great ending too, they both live a happy life without each other, without being criminals.

I disagree, the best ending is the high Honor pacifist surrender ending. Sure sean gets 15 years in jail but Daniel turns out to be a helpful good man to the world. Especially after Sean teaches him to do the right thing and to not hurt anybody. Seeing Daniel do that and act like a punk, act like the hateful folk who treated Sean and Daniel the way they did. Kinda bothers me, this ending would probably cause their dad to turn over in his grave because he never would have wanted his son's to be evil.

I just finished my first playthrough and got parting ways. I was so sad at first cuz I knew I spent more time throughout the game making sure Daniel did the right things vs throwing his power at every conflict, so I thought I got a bad ending. But after seeing this one I think parting ways really is the best (I don’t even wanna watch the surrender options 😭). Daniel looks so empty and sad here, at least going back to his grandparents he got to grow up with Chris and live a normal kid life, while Sean fulfilled his plan and even ended up with Cassidy

I know a lot of people like this ending, But in my case it felt wrong… I finished the game for the first time yesterday and cried so much (first time a game affected me that much). Unfortunately I was so focused getting daniel to trust me, I forgot to teach him morality… at first I decided to surender, so daniel could have a normal life. That gave me the lone wolf ending, and let me tell you…I NEVER RELOADED LAST CHECKPOINT THAT FAST. So I chose to get to mexico and…that gave me the blood brothers. I am deeply unsatisied and cannot stop thinking bout it. Unfortunately, all endings are sad af. But ima try to replay and get the parting ways ending. Its the best ending imo: daniel gets an overall normal life with his caring grandparents and chris, and sean gets to be free and reunite with (in my case) finn… I can’t believe im going to redo the whole game just to have closure 💀

Honestly, if you wanna teach Daniel the moral rules, I think you should just choose to surrender. In Parting Ways, Sean betrays Daniel, the same way he does in Lone Wolf. This is what truly rubs me the wrong way, Sean wouldn't just leave Daniel like that and let him suffer the unjust consequences. For me, the choice is between Redemption or Blood Brothers
@AdeleLavigne

@@johnsk.j6894 Your point of view is valid! Personally I really don’t want Sean serving times for a crime he did not commit. I want them to be happy and free. Neither of them wanted a life of crime, Daniel didn’t even want to go to puerto Lobos, in the first place. So the most fitting ending for me is parting ways . Sean did not betray Daniel he just wanted to give him a better life, far from the authorities that did them wrong. Sean is also a kid, so even if his decision wasn’t ideal, all he wanted was to protect his brother. They will never forget each other. Their bond is so strong. But the outcome is for the best: Sean is safe from the authorities and can live a somewhat peaceful life with his lover while Daniel can grow up in a safe household with his grandparents and see kids his age. I like to think that even if they part ways, they will eventually see each other again. But really, all of the endings breaks my heart…💔

I have watched all endings in this channel and just got to say two things 1:it’s surprising to see that choosing to surrender with either morality leads to the bad outcome while crossing the board leads to the best ending 2:Why was Finn chosen to be Sean lover, I understand his character but he isn’t exactly the best in a high morality playthrough
@hisbrokenbutterfly
Күн бұрын
About your first question, I think the reason is that this is mainly Sean's story, and Sean always wanted to go to Puerto Lobos, one way or another. There are hints about this even at the start of the game, before tragedy happens. So crossing the border has happy (or at least not bad) endings because this way Sean succeeds in his goal, even if it was much sooner than he may have planned. Moreover, with the turn the story had taken up to the final decision point, it would be almost impossible to get a happy ending with Surrender, because especially in the ending where Sean ends up in jail, he loses his freedom for a crime he didn't commit. In regards with your second question, for me Finn may not be a crystal-clear high morality choice, but I always found him far more genuine and understanding than Cassidy. His bad decisions are connected to his previous bad life experiences and not to traits of his character. Many times in his life, he had to find ways to survive, and eventually he learnt to always think to that end. The heist idea may look bad or immoral but it was his way, given the very few choices he had in the situation he was in, to try and make things better. Cassidy may look like the safe choice morality-wise, but her situation is far more privileged as she comes from a wealthy home, to which she can always turn back if things go too messy. Living like a nomad was her own personal choice, while for Finn and the others it was the only way out of their respective problematic situations. Cassidy is the only one who does not seem interested in making her life better, preferring to remain stuck to this specific kind of living, although she clearly has a talent (singing) that could help her achieve something better.
