The prehistoric planet was amazing, but i think we are in the process of amazing dinosaur exploration rn. So many ideas are being rewritten, and so much new stuff has been discovered.

At the end an AI Rutger Hauer will appear, intoning, "All this will be lost in time, like...tears... in rain, unless you Climate Tithe!" Then an orgy of The Jetsons AI Futurey, Mission Mars, solar panels, greybeards in hemp tunics, closeups of a huge eye in a truck window, as Morgan Freeman growls, 'Don't be left behind with the Deniers! Come into the Big Tent! The Power of Climate Jesus compels you!!" Then sunsets, golden rainbows, white doves bit.

Just like the quote from Jurassic World Dominion, dinosaurs put us into perspective from how long they were on this planet compared to us.

So weird to think how Spielberg made dinosaurs look so realistic in 1993 with a mix of animatronics and cgi and now 30 years on it's "evolved" to something that looks this bad

It is tragic and existentially frightening the way they went, but I for one am glad that we don't have to worry about apex land predators that dwarfed humans, could see and smell in 3 dimensions, and had a brain the size of a human female and eyes the size of a child's head, all geared towards hunting. They also had the caloric need to hunt almost continuously. The T-Rex dominated the food chain for so long that species evolved specifically to counter it. Also, FYI, dinosaurs ruled the planet a LOT longer than humans have.

Well - Earth definitely cannot be called the "planet of people", cause our history is only several thousand years old. Compared to the dinosaurs who ruled here over 135 million years, humans are meaningless.

No matter how good the director or how iconic the narrators voice, this will never even touch the standard of any david attenborough series or jurassic park. Steve and Morgan are in the business of making spectacles, not documentaries. Stick to what you are good at.
