There is a classic tension at work on the bog, that being between water and individual expectations. Though, the ongoing paucity of water during the past three years may ultimately determine the matter.
LIFE ON THE BOG chronicles life lived closely within the natural world of northern Minnesota, its seasonal shifts, observing the wildlife passing through and the rhythms advancing: grouse drumming, peepers screeching, trumpeter swans trumpeting, tree frogs keening, grosbeaks fluting. This journey is at times absurd, reflective, humorous, slapstick, thoughtful, silly, contemplative, and laughable, but never profane.
