Dear Art and Janelle, I've been watching for years but have never commented. I am now a stay at home mommy with my two year old daughter, and I am so grateful for your channel and your eagerness to share your wisdom with others. I certainly have gleaned much for you, and am particularly excited for the new recipes- this is very relevant to me and I hope you share your knowledge with people like me! ❤ Much love, from sunny SoCal-- also congratulations on the new grandbaby!!!

I did notice the video frequency went way down. I thought it meant you were leaving KZitem and that'd be so sad! The cooking only videos are the least interesting for me personally. I love seeing your garden, house organization, homeschool videos, the kids and Art, food hauls, etc. Pretty much all the life videos!

Art and Janelle and family, Thanks for sharing your ideas, tips and tricks with others throughout our world via Social Media. Your You Tube Channel and Facebook Page are both so inspiring and entertaining! Thank you! I found your wonderful You Tube Channel a few years ago. It is like visiting with some great and precious friends. Thank you! What you share has helped me over come my anxiety. I love watching your channel from time to time when I might be feeling a little overwhelmed from having anxiety about different things, needing some mama time, doing household chores, cooking for our precious family of four and or just wanting to relax a little. I look forward to seeing what our Heavenly Father has for Parsnips and Parsimony You Tube Channel and your precious family/ families in 2024. Much love, prayers and God Bless for the upcoming New Year from our family to all of yours from Australia . xxx

This was a lovely Q&A...I saw your request for questions but I can never think of any until I'm watching a Q&A video, haha. When you spoke about the garden I wondered about your asparagus crowns because I planted some this summer too and am not very hopeful for them. I'd never dream of asking about your finances! My mother was emphatic about *never* asking about someone else's finances. So much so that after she passed, I had no idea how much she had saved and felt sad she didn't use it to enjoy her final years more. Wishing you, Art and your beautiful family a very Happy New Year filled with God's richest blessings.

Always find it funny when people thing large families are soo expensive 😅 my husband and I both came from large families and we're 24 and have 3. We spend very little. All hand-me-downs, garage sales, thrift stores. We raise beef and chickens. I feel like most of our grocery budget goes to chips and condiments 😂❤

I enjoy your channel, cannot wait to see the food video's. I am mainly plant based now due to health reasons but will enjoy them. I have got my garden in, but it is not growing as fast as it should. Starting to now though. Some came up but something ate it. I think it is squirrels. We have added more chicken wire along bottom of fence and gate to keep rabbits out. I am replanting the missing areas this month. I am in Florida, so we have a fall, winter and spring garden. Summer is not our growing season. January garden is coming.

Thanks for this video. I will start at the last part...eating at home and not having to have the top of the line for everything. The prices of eating out today are just insane. Some folks do this every day or every week and even put it on a card. I often wonder how these young people manage to have a home like their parents have...like 1/4 to 1/2 million dollars, in a neighborhood that requires $100.00 to $600.00 in an HOA fee, 2 brand new cars in the driveway and their children in day care. It breaks my heart to see such a cost of living they have created for themselves. When I see your family and how much they are learning from you and Art, because you are at home, even if you weren't homeschooling...the cooking, the cleaning, the gardening, the DIY stuff. They are so ready to go out in the world and make a great job of living within their means. Y'all deserve so much credit. I am looking forward to your video plans for the new year. My very wishes for a Happy & Prosperous New Year. And I know you will be wonderful grandparents for Charity & Colin's little one.

Like my mom used to say... buy used and save the difference. My hubby and I don't care to eat in restaurants, but rather at home. One thing he does enjoy is nachos, so when I buy hamburger, I'll fry up 3 or 4 pounds, add taco seasoning, and then freeze in smaller portions so that he can have nachos when he has a craving. I also make sure I have meatloaf, soup, chili etc, frozen in portion size containers for fast and easy meals. Wishing you and the family a Blessed New Year ahead. 💗

Definitely to help us and my family but also open to potentially helping those within my local community. When my classes are over, I will be a functional nutritional therapist and will be able to help with dietary adjustment as well as sleep, stress and digestion. It been a great decision to move into a more “old-er” person field that I can continue to do for years to come. EMS is a young persons job and is extremely physically demanding and not family friendly.
