My pleasure! It is a lifelong interest and a fair deal of these programs have not been seen in decades.

In the summer of 1986, as a teenager, I traveled with a band that went to the world's fair in British Columbia. On the way back, we went to Yellowstone. I remember the drive from Seattle to Spokane on I-90. Once out of the mountains and into the plains, I remember very well seeing ash from the eruption as far as you could see. It was even in the median of the interstate. On the way up to BC, on I-5, it was the first time I saw St Helens. While in Yellowstone, I bought a book about the eruption. I became kind of obsessed with it and did lots of research over the years. I've leaned plenty about the science of the eruption, but to me there is nothing better than hearing these personal stories from the very people whose lives were affected by it. Now I wonder if the Gazes are still around and how they've done since.

From Denmark, One can really wonder that there is not a single movie clip of the eruption itself. There was so much media in the area and private people, and NOT a single movie clip as it erupts. The only film sequence that has been made is composed of pictures from a private man who shot over 20 pictures when it erupted.

Don't be dumb. People were trying to make the best out of a catastrophic situation.
