On the 99-BC02, exactly what type of situation requires setting the fans to HI?
@LifebreathIAQ
Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your question. There are many reasons to set the ventilation to high speed. These include, but are not limited to, excessive humidity, unwanted odours, decrease in indoor air quality due to high particulate matter, high VOC concentration, high CO2 levels, increased oxygen demand due to higher-than-normal occupancy (aka, a party). Ultimately, homeowners should be always aware of their indoor air quality and engage high-speed ventilation when they want to exhaust more indoor air than normal (low speed) operation. An equal amount of fresh outdoor air will be introduced to replace the exhausted air at both high and low speeds.

This system is new to me. I cannot tell if the fans are working in the bathrooms. The lights for the timers don’t stay on. I have changed the batteries. Is it just that quiet?

So if I have the 200std lifebreath hrv but do not see any wires for the control or wires coming out of the 2 available connector. For instance, it’s plugged in. It’s switch to on. The light turns on . The speed is on medium, and the humidity is set at 30 ish and I can hear it click when I mess with the dial around the 30 ish mark. The ducting is all good vents are cleared.. Yet I have no clue how to control it. It does not have any wires running to a wall unit control or the furnace. Ecobee is what I use for the thermostat, but trying to understand if the fan function on the furnace uses the HRV automatically or should there be one of those controller in you video for it separately. I cleaned the core and it still look spanking new and absolutely no dirt in it. And I have never heard the thing come on. Any help would be amazing . Other then that , awesome video for the different controllers

Connecting just the 3 wires did not start the system. Do I need any other part other than the 99-DXPL02 ? Thank you

Why does the dehumidistat turn off if the outside temperature is greater than 15 C ?
@LifebreathIAQ
Жыл бұрын
Thank you for your question. The air exchanger will only dehumidify when the outdoor temperature (and therefore humidity too) is lower than the indoor temperature and humidity. For example, in the summer, or when it is above 15 C for more than 24 hours outside, an air exchanger will not dehumidify. Therefore, our units automatically deactivate the dehumidification function at 15 C outdoor temp, then it reactivates when the outdoor temp goes below 15 C for 24 hours.

What is setting in winter?
@LifebreathIAQ

Thank you for your question. The ventilation requirement in a home is the same summer and winter. Your Lifebreath unit will automatically determine your desired humidity setting (which is typically 40%) adjust to summer or winter settings.

I have an old school life breath humidistat with a turn knob, but even in the off position the system is still running. Is there a way to turn it if completely from without physically going to the actual life breath exchange unit and flicking the switch? Hoping my unit is not faulty. Sorry just bought a house and never owned something like this

I just bought an house with the exact same model of humidistat, I have a hard time finding out how it works, did you find out? Thanks for your help!!
@andrewsmith6328
Жыл бұрын
@@JP-tc6he so I figured out how mine works because I don't have a dehumidifier attached to my HVAC. When the humidity is higher inside the house than outside...you want to bring outside air into the house to reduce humidity inside. Therefore. You want to turn the life breath machine on to a humididty percentage you wish for your house to be at. Ie . Inside the house is 60 and outside is 40...u want ur house to be at 50, so set humidistat to 50 and allows the exchanger to bring in fresh air outside until it hits 50 percent and then your life breath will turn off. It doesn't work in reverse though. You can't make your house increase humididty assuming the outside is less or equal to what u currently have. I think for the majority of people it functions just doesn't air exchanger so where are you normally have closed windows all the time this just helps to bring in a little bit of fresh air so your house doesn't feel so stuffy....sorry for the long winded explanation haha but as a new homeowner there are lots of things I'm still trying to figure out hahaha hope that helps ...all the best my friend.

So what do we do when the humidity in the home and outside is VERY high, but the outside is warmer than 15/59??
@LifebreathIAQ
Жыл бұрын
Our equipment helps control humidity by replacing the higher humidity indoor air with dryer outdoor air. When the outdoor air is more humid than inside alternate methods of dehumidification must be used. Typically, a whole house dehumidifier or AC system (when it is hot) are the solutions in this case.

What does ventilation mode do compared to recirculation mode?
@LifebreathIAQ
2 жыл бұрын
Ryan, thank you for your question and thank you for choosing Lifebreath! Ventilation is bringing in fresh air and exhausting stale air (ventilating) and recirculating is when the damper in the fresh air port is closed and it will just recirculate the air inside the house without brining in fresh air.
