I spent a summer in the Phantom of the Opera stage, way back in the 70's, working on the tour, sweeping garbage, dusting dressing rooms, scraping gum off the cement with freeze spray, and generally having a good time with the other lowly summer job workers. On a hot day we would take refuge in Stage 28, where it was always cool inside, and a little bit scary with the dusty Phantom of the Opera set. I have some stories, behind the scenes... and behind those scenes. We would get there early in the morning a few hours before the tour opened. Vacuum, clean and dust Edith Head's office and Julie London's dressing room. We had free run of Stage 28 and the workers would hide out in there when the boss wasn't looking. Good times. Thanks for your videos. Sorry to hear that Stage 28 is gone.

How cool to see the Laemmle and Universal Monster legacy so well treasured. When do we cut through all the licensing hurdles and get the Universal Monster universe into a video game format like "Red Dead Redemption?"

Thanks so much for posting. Since I was a child I have loved the gothic look of the Universal horror films. I was also a film student when I grew up. For me, if Lugosi were not selected I would have liked to see Conrad Veidt portray him. I think Chaney Sr, if he lived, was strong enough of an actor to make us believe he was the old world European vampire. I can't see William Powell's acting range convincing the audience that he was Count Dracula from Transylvania, but to each his own. :)

I agree with you on what you said about how the "Dark Universe" idea was the wrong way to go. While I do like the MCU and find it fun, the Universal Monsters franchise is not the same type of film franchise and thus wouldn't work as a film franchise. I think they would work better as a Anthology series, what I would do if I was going to make them is have a host to tie all the movies together (Ex: Rod Sterling in the The Twilight Zone) who introduces the story and the comes back at the end saying he will see the audience later.

Horror conventions I would love for you to attend: “Spooky Empire” in Orlando. That puts you near Universal Orlando Resort. The other would be “Spookala,” which is in Ocala and/or Tampa. Please attend for the sake of those who love Universal! 🙏🥺

That was awful.Tearing that historic sound stage down. They should have kept it as a museum .This proves that universal doesn't really care for it's past.

The movie The wolfman 2010 was way too long. Original one wirh Lon Chaney Jr. Was so amazing and spooky and a short film. I think the original movies are too special to do remakes.
