Optibike has been overpricing ebike forever . no exception here . as an American company i really want to see them progress

You know, they are a bit on the expensive side of things, especially their eMTB line, which seems to be a bulk of what they sell. It'd be interesting to see some of their decked-out eMTBs versus some of the competitors though! Some of the mainstream guys in the eMTB space.

I totally agree. The handlebars and stem are garbage, along with the seat. The rest of the bike is decent, but WAYYY overpriced.

In the end... If it can't outrun a $1,800 Ariel Rider Kepler at over 35 mph throttle only, not interested . just my tastes and likes. My 1976 Schwinn 10 speed bike was good enough to compete with this one.

Well hey now...if I have to choose between something ripping at 35MPH with the throttle, versus something I have to pedal, I'm with you all day everyday ;) Some people are into these sorts of hybrid/road bikes for a few reasons, so I imagine there's a market for it. My favorite bike I've been on so far is that new ZOOZ Flex. I can get 32-ish throttle only, and the full suspension means I can hit any jump or curb I desire. That's more my personal vibe. Would love to do some testing on the Ariel Riders though! Big fan of what they have in their lineup :) Do you have the Kepler yourself?

Yeah that Ariel Rider Kepler is a 73lbs ride….. the Argon weighs 37 pounds, absolutely night and day difference in the end-user they are trying to attract. Personally, if I ever get to where the throttle only speed is my most important feature, I would just skip the pedals altogether and get an E motorcycle, just my taste and likes.😂. That 76 Schwinn must’ve been a hell of a bike, I’m sure it’s still in your garage it was such a keeper.
